If you want to buy Sui at the time of this video, unfortunately, you cannot do so on Coinbase – but there are easy ways to stack the most promising layer-1.
How to Buy Sui in 2 Minutes
What you’ll want to do is buy Solana on Coinbase and send it to your Phantom Wallet browser extension
If you don’t have Phantom yet, set up an account because it’s simple, and this SOL-based network has much lower fees than Ethereum.
Next, you’ll want to set up a Sui wallet so you’ll be ready to receive your Sui tokens.
From there, Google Search “Wormhole portal bridge” and click on the top link. If you’re at this step, connect your Phantom Wallet to the top part of the transaction and your Sui Wallet to the bottom portion. IMPORTANT: Your Sui wallet shows up as wrapped SOL tokens, which is just Solana on the Sui network.
If you’ve got all that setup, you’ll want to swap your Solana tokens for wrapped SOL, which will show up in your Sui wallet after you accept the transaction. Got it? Cool
You should check your Sui wallet after the transaction is complete. Then, you can freely swap that wrapped SOL for real SUI tokens.
Congrats! You now own Sui.
