ApeX Omni is a self-custodial perpetual exchange that pairs an accessible user interface and order book with on-chain settlement. Traders can go long or short on more than 100 crypto contracts, trade stock perps and short-dated event markets, and maintain control of their keys. ApeX Omni runs on zkLink X, a ZK-rollup stack that accepts deposits from Ethereum, BNB Chain, Base, Mantle, and Arbitrum, and does not charge gas fees on trades.
Although the protocol initially launched as ApeX Pro in 2022, ApeX Omni replaced that venue in 2024 and added vaults, grid bots, equity perps, and prediction products without changing the CEX-style interface traders already knew. ApeX Omni has now facilitated over $690 billion in lifetime volume and more than 1.2 billion trades, with open interest often surpassing $100 million.
In this ApeX Omni review, we’ll look at the platform’s core products, supported markets, costs, custody, onboarding, and more, to help you decide whether ApeX Omni fits your needs as a trader and investor.
Key Takeaways
- ApeX Omni combines self-custody with a CEX-style order book, no KYC on core trading, and deposits from five chains.
- The platform offers more than 100 perpetual pairs at up to 100x leverage, plus stock perps priced by Chainlink feeds.
- ApeX Omni’s base trading fees are 0.02% maker and 0.05% taker, zero gas fees, and a 0.002% grid-bot rebate.
- Crypto perps, prediction events, vaults, grid bots, and stock and ETF perps can be accessed through a single login.
ApeX Omni Overview
ApeX Omni is the decentralized exchange (DEX) created and provided by ApeX Protocol. It is a non-custodial, multichain perpetual DEX with a central order book, ZK settlement, and a product range that now stretches beyond crypto alone. Users can sign in with an email-based wallet or a connected Web3 wallet, fund their accounts in crypto or fiat, and trade crypto perps from one shared margin pool, with stock perps held in a dedicated Stocks Account. Core trading does not require identity checks, making it particularly attractive to those seeking a no-KYC crypto exchange.
The protocol was incubated by Davion Labs and has long-standing ties to Bybit. Its native token, APEX, is used for governance, staking, and fee-tier qualification.

What Is ApeX Omni?
ApeX Protocol started as ApeX Pro in 2022, an order-book perpetual DEX built for traders who wanted CEX-style execution without handing funds to an exchange. Liquidity was held within a single stack, and deposits were more fragmented than they are now. ApeX Omni, which opened in mid-2024, was built to fix those issues and aggregates collateral across several networks, allowing traders to deposit on one chain and trade from a single margin pool. Matching still happens off-chain against a central book, and settlement is posted with zero-knowledge (ZK) proofs.

ApeX Omni’s live product set is wider than most perp DEXs. Omni Perps lists more than 100 USDT-margined contracts, offering up to 100x leverage on selected major pairs, including BTC/USDT and ETH/USDT, while its cross-collateral mode accepts USDT plus assets such as USDC, WBTC, WETH, ETH, cmETH, mETH, cbBTC, and USDe. Order types include market, limit, conditional, take-profit, stop-loss, post-only, and reduce-only; throughput can reach up to 10,000 transactions per second; and funding is settled hourly with adjustments capped at 0.05% per hour.
Around that core, ApeX Omni has added stock and ETF perps in a dedicated Stocks Account; short-dated Event contracts on BTC, ETH, gold, and other assets; Polymarket-linked prediction markets; copy-trading vaults; and grid bots. The platform’s lifetime volume has surpassed $690 billion, and ApeX Omni’s open interest was approximately $141 million at the time of this review.
Users never deposit into an exchange wallet that the operator can freeze; instead, collateral sits in protocol contracts, withdrawals settle on-chain, and self-custody is maintained at all times. That design is the main difference between ApeX Omni and a centralized futures platform, and it removes custody risk while maintaining a trustless, permissionless system via ZK proofs and multichain connections.
ApeX Omni Products and Services
The ApeX Omni platform consolidates several markets, products, and services within a single user account and login. Perps are the primary focus for many users, but stock contracts, event bets, vaults, and bots can also be found in their own tabs, keeping margin and risk separate where the design requires it. Below, we’ll look at ApeX Omni’s core features in detail.
Omni Perps
This is ApeX Omni’s main product, and its interface will feel familiar if you have ever traded futures on a major centralized exchange. The platform lists more than 100 futures markets and offers up to 100x leverage on BTC and ETH pairs, with up to 50x available on other pairs. Accepted collateral includes USDT (the primary collateral option and base currency for most pairs), as well as WBTC, WETH, ETH, USDC, cmETH, mETH, cbBTC, and USDe.

Base fees are 0.02% maker and 0.05% taker, though VIP discounts are available with sufficient 14-day trading volume or staked APEX tokens. The platform covers gas fees, and order types include market, limit, conditional, take-profit, stop-loss, post-only, and reduce-only. Margin is shared across your crypto futures account on ApeX Omni, so profit on one contract can offset a loss on another.
As is the case on most crypto exchanges, liquidity is deepest in BTC and ETH pairs, whereas the risk of slippage will be larger on smaller alt pairs. During busy sessions, ApeX Omni has handled more than a billion dollars in daily perp volume.
Stock Perps
Stock perps (which went live on ApeX Omni in November 2025) provide traders with long or short on-chain exposure to names such as Apple, Tesla, and SpaceX, as well as ETFs such as SPY and QQQ, without opening a brokerage account or owning the underlying shares. Pricing uses Chainlink RWA feeds, and positions are held in a dedicated Stocks Account, so equity risk does not sit in the same margin pool as crypto perps. Maximum leverage is 50x, and fees match the crypto book at the base rates of 0.02% / 0.05%.

For traders excited by the prospect of 24/7 TradFi equity trading, ApeX Omni offers exactly this experience – and USDT is the only collateral required. By removing traditional restrictions such as geographic limits and standard stock market hours, the platform makes stock trading as accessible as possible. However, it’s wise to approach outside-hours trading with caution, as liquidity can vary significantly, leading to unexpected slippage and stop-loss triggers during volatile price spikes and wicks.
Prediction Events
Prediction markets have become a major Web3 trend over the past year – and ApeX Omni’s own event contracts, launched in June 2026 (alongside access to additional prediction contracts powered by Polymarket), are simple short-dated binary bets. Traders can predict whether BTC, ETH, gold, silver, crude oil, or other cryptocurrencies (such as DOGE, SOL, BNB, or XRP) will close higher or lower within a fixed window (typically three minutes to one hour), and winning calls receive a payout defined by the market’s probability status at the time of entry.

The platform’s “Prediction” tab also features additional books for sports, politics, and major crypto-related events, which can have longer time horizons depending on the specific event. The stake is the user’s maximum possible loss, with no leverage or liquidation features, and no trading fees for prediction events (although some fees may apply to those powered by Polymarket). Prediction markets on ApeX Omni also use a dedicated Prediction Account (which is still accessible using the same login as all other platform features) and require users to complete a very brief setup and confirmation process (with no inconvenient steps and no KYC) before they can begin using this feature.
Vaults
Vaults offer a relatively hands-off way to participate in various markets and generate passive income via copy-trading, with two types currently available on ApeX Omni. First, user-created vaults give traders a way to raise outside capital, run a strategy (with followers mirroring their trades), and keep 10% of profits (while depositors take 90%). Protocol Vaults, on the other hand, are designed to pay from liquidation fees collected on the perp book rather than from emissions, with the intention of avoiding negative yield.

Each vault has a cap on how much it will take in total and how much one person can put in. The Vault interface displays each creator’s P&L score, their vault’s TVL (Total Value Locked), the vault’s Net Value, the trader’s maximum drawdown (updated daily), and the number of days that the vault has been active. This allows prospective depositors to carefully assess a vault’s profit potential, although past performance is not a guarantee of future results.
Grid Bots
Grid Bots introduce flexible automation for those who prefer tighter control over their passive investment and trading strategies. Traders choose a price range and a direction (or no direction at all), and the bot places a ladder of buy and sell orders within that range. The long and short versions lean in one direction (which can be useful for dollar-cost averaging), whereas the neutral version attempts to clip small moves during periods of choppy price action.

Instead of charging a trading fee (as most grid bots do), ApeX Omni actually pays a 0.002% maker rebate on each trade. Rebates are calculated daily and credited to the user’s margin account. However, when using a grid bot, it’s always best to monitor its performance over time, carefully modify strategies in line with the results it generates, and remember that the usual futures costs and risks remain, including the possibility of position liquidation.
APEX Token
APEX is the native token of ApeX Protocol (the team behind the ApeX Omni exchange), and has a maximum supply of 500 million. At the time of this review, 155.2 million APEX tokens were in circulation, with a total market cap of approximately $36.62 million.
Holders can stake APEX or escrowed APEX (esAPEX) to earn a weekly payout and access trading fee discounts. VIP fee tiers are based on either 14-day trading volume or the amount of APEX and esAPEX staked (whichever figure is better), but the highest tiers are based on volume alone. esAPEX can be restaked or vested into ordinary APEX over a six-month period.
APEX holders can submit and vote on proposals through ApeX DAO. ApeX also runs a separate buyback programme, where the protocol uses part of its platform fee income to buy APEX on the open market each week. Those tokens are then locked for three years, which reduces the float available for trading.
Supported Cryptocurrencies and Trading Pairs
ApeX Omni’s main service is based on perpetual contracts, with a growing list of more than 100 trading pairs to date. Collateral and settlement are primarily based on USDT, with several other assets accepted as cross-collateral. Deposits can be made through Ethereum, BNB Chain, Base, Mantle, and Arbitrum. Stock and commodity perps can be found under the “TradFi” section of the platform’s “Trade” menu, and are priced using oracle feeds via Chainlink.
A large portion of liquidity on ApeX Omni is concentrated in Bitcoin and Ethereum, as tends to be the case on most crypto exchanges. Altcoin perps cover large-cap Layer 1s and popular trending Web3 verticals such as DeFi, meme coins, and more, offering traders the chance to enter positions in faster-moving names.
On the prediction market side, event contracts cover directional time-limited bets on leading cryptocurrencies such as BTC, ETH, XRP, DOGE, BNB, and SOL, as well as commodities including gold, silver, and crude oil.
ApeX Omni’s range of products is particularly useful for traders who want access to crypto, equity trading, and prediction markets without having to log into and track multiple platforms.
Popular categories and examples of assets supported on ApeX Omni include:
- Top-10 cryptocurrencies: BTC, ETH, BNB, XRP, SOL, TRX, HYPE, ZEC.
- Large-cap alts: XMR, LEO, ADA, XLM, BCH, etc.
- DeFi and infrastructure: LINK, AAVE, UNI, etc.
- Meme coins: DOGE, PEPE, BONK, PENGU, etc.
- TradFi perps: AAPL, TSLA, SPCX, AMZN, NVDA, MSFT, SPY, QQQ, XAU (gold), XAG (silver), WTI, USO, BZ (Brent crude), and more.
| Category | Examples on ApeX Omni |

ApeX Omni Fees
Perp fees follow a standard maker-taker structure on ApeX Omni, with discounts aligned with VIP account tiers. There are no gas fees for trading, and no fees for betting on prediction event contracts (except those powered by Polymarket).
| Fee Type | Rate |
| Perp Maker (Level 1) | 0.020% |
| Perp Taker (Level 1) | 0.050% |
| VIP Maker (Levels 2–7) | 0.015% down to 0.000% |
| VIP Taker (Levels 2–7) | 0.045% down to 0.025% |
| Grid Bot Maker Rebate | -0.002% |
| Gas on Placing / Amending / Canceling Orders | None |
| Event Contracts | No trading fee |
| Prediction Markets (Polymarket Tabs) | ApeX 0.5% maker / 1% taker, plus Polymarket’s own fee |
VIP level is based on 14-day volume or staked APEX / esAPEX (whichever is better). Level 1 applies when a user has a 14-day trading volume of less than $5 million, or has 25,000 or fewer APEX or esAPEX tokens staked. High-volume desks can ask for custom pricing through official channels.
ApeX Omni User Experience and Customer Support
The ApeX Omni web app will be immediately familiar to anyone who has already used a centralized futures exchange. Price charts (with a full set of drawing tools and technical indicators), a given pair’s order book, funding rates, and order entry and management controls can all be found within the main interface. Perpetual, TradFi, Event, Grid Bot, Prediction, and Vault sections each have their own menu items.
On-chain deposits can be made via Ethereum, BNB Chain, Base, Mantle, and Arbitrum, and fiat deposits may be available depending on your location, with options including traditional bank card payments, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Alchemy Pay, and more. The platform supports MetaMask, Coinbase Wallet, Trust, Phantom, and WalletConnect.
ApeX Omni also has a native mobile app for iOS and Android, which offers an instantly familiar interface with a clear chart display, buy and sell buttons, access to technical indicators, and a straightforward order book view.

Help and support are easily accessible via their own menu tab and include a comprehensive range of beginner-friendly tutorials, as well as a direct community support channel provided via Discord. We found that response speed on Discord varies with current market volume, which is normal for any crypto exchange. More advanced users can also access a complete API Center, including full documentation, step-by-step setup instructions, and a dedicated Discord channel just for API users.
ApeX Omni Security
ApeX Omni does not take custody of users’ funds or hold them in a company account; instead, collateral remains in public protocol contracts, and users hold and control their own keys. Trades are settled with zero-knowledge proofs on zkLink X, which has been audited by ABDK. Orders are matched off-chain (which keeps the order book fast), and settlement then moves on-chain through those ZK proofs.
If the ApeX Omni website is down, users can still request a forced withdrawal through the Layer 1 contract and move funds out without the front end.
ApeX Omni vs. CEX Platforms
Although ApeX Omni’s interface looks almost identical to a normal CEX, it’s important to remember that centralized exchanges require users to trust the exchange’s balance sheet, withdrawal process, and all other aspects of its architecture. ApeX Omni replaces that requirement with self-custody and zero-knowledge (ZK) proofs, while still providing the same low-friction user experience, along with considerable liquidity and a robust range of product features. You also won’t need to comply with invasive KYC demands just to trade or even access the platform, which is a key pain point that privacy-focused Web3 users increasingly face worldwide.
The table below covers useful considerations to make when comparing ApeX Omni to a traditional CEX.
| Category | Typical CEX | ApeX Omni |
| Signup | ID, selfie, other personal documents | Email or wallet, no additional KYC |
| Custody | Exchange holds funds in centralized wallets (may be hot, cold, or mixed) | Users hold and control their keys |
| Withdrawals | Can be paused/frozen at any time | On-chain settlement enables instant withdrawals (subject to block processing times) |
| Access | Georestrictions and blocks, leverage caps depending on user location | Permissionless core book, access to all features |
| Equities | Rarely provided, tightly limited/restricted depending on local regulations | Stock perps, separate account, 24/7 access |
| Bots | Maker fees usually charged | Grid bots earn a rebate paid to user |
| KYC | Required before trading (or before platform can be accessed, depending on location) | No KYC on core perps, may apply above certain fiat currency limits |

ApeX Omni Review: Conclusion
ApeX Omni is a mature perp DEX with a CEX-like book and interface, self-custody as standard, and a wider product list than most on-chain alternatives. Its fee structure is clear, trading does not incur gas fees, and additional features from stock and commodity perps to event contracts give ApeX Omni a degree of flexibility and convenience that even some major CEX platforms lack.
Although ApeX Omni does provide easy-to-follow tutorials that beginners will find useful, it will mainly fit active and at least moderately experienced traders who are already familiar with futures trading platforms, and feel comfortable with the extra personal responsibility that comes with crypto self-custody. Those looking to place extremely large positions may prefer platforms with deeper liquidity or even institutional rails – but these are relatively extreme cases. Retail traders and mid-size players looking for straightforward API connections will find ApeX Omni to be more than sufficient, and the addition of prediction market access will be especially appealing to those who find it difficult to access Polymarket directly due to local restrictions.

What is ApeX Omni?
ApeX Omni is a non-custodial perpetual exchange with a central order book and on-chain settlement on zkLink X. Users can trade crypto and stock perps, and access prediction markets, vaults, and grid bots, all while keeping control of their keys.
Does ApeX Omni require KYC?
Not for core perpetual trading. Users can sign in with an email-based wallet or a connected Web3 wallet. However, KYC may apply if fiat deposits through Alchemy Pay’s on-ramp exceed the provider’s no-KYC limits.
Is ApeX Omni legit?
Yes. It is a live derivatives venue that followed ApeX Pro, which launched in 2022. Omni opened in 2024, settles trades with ZK proofs, and has processed hundreds of billions of dollars in lifetime volume.
Is ApeX Omni better than a CEX?
Yes, for most active traders. You keep your keys, skip KYC on the core book, and still get a CEX-style order book, stock perps, and prediction markets. A centralized exchange holds your funds and can freeze withdrawals, but ApeX Omni does not.
Can I buy Bitcoin on ApeX Omni?
Not as spot BTC, as ApeX Omni is built for perpetual futures rather than spot markets. However, you can go long BTC/USDT and fund your account with crypto or via the platform’s fiat on-ramp.
What are the maximum leverage limits on ApeX Omni?
Up to 100x on selected major pairs, including BTC/USDT and ETH/USDT. Most other crypto markets, and stock perps, are capped at 50x leverage.
