Ethereum is trading at $2,435.82. It has gained more than 4% from yesterday’s lows as a rebound moved ETH toward nearby resistance. Any Ethereum price analysis has to weigh that bounce against what came before it. The recovery follows a sharp drop and a wave of leveraged liquidations. One newly created wallet’s large short position puts a specific price level in focus.
Lookonchain reported that a wallet created just 10 hours earlier opened a 25x short initially worth $33.5 million, covering 13,826 ETH. After ETH rebounded, part of the position was liquidated; the wallet was left short 8,849 ETH, valued at $21.4 million, with a liquidation price of $2,430.28.
Someone created a new wallet 10 hours ago and opened a 25x short on 13,826 $ETH($33.5M).
As the price rebounded, the wallet was partially liquidated.
It still holds a short on 8,849 $ETH ($21.4M), with a new liquidation price of $2,430.28.https://t.co/nvaDltxdFI pic.twitter.com/5NQxBYiqN0

The position is a warning about leverage, not a reliable signal of where ETH goes next. ETF outflows and broader macro concerns still weigh on sentiment, while traders watch whether the rebound can hold above resistance; or slips back toward support.
EXCLUSIVE: Join 99Bitcoin’s $1000 USDT Airdrop on ByBitEthereum Price Analysis: Can ETH Hold Above $2,394?

Ethereum price analysis on the daily chart shows ETH trying to rebuild after a pullback from its late September high near $2,800. ETH trades at $2,438.94, after bouncing from a low near $2,320 that landed almost exactly on the 50-day exponential moving average (EMA) at $2,314. The recovery is modest, but it keeps price above $2,394, a level the market has tested repeatedly since early 2024, and it leaves the next move to a nearby cluster of resistance.
Resistance begins with the 200-day EMA at $2,484.61, only about 2% above the current price. Above it sit the $2,798.97 high that capped the September rally and the long-standing $3,375.31 line. Support starts at $2,394.47, followed by the 50-day EMA at $2,314.33 and then $2,141.59, a level that dates back to 2023. The wider picture is a recovery from the roughly $1,500 low of June, not yet a new uptrend, since ETH still trades far below its peak near $4,950 in the summer of 2025.
A daily close above the 200-day EMA would put $2,798.97 back in view, while a loss of $2,394.47 would bring the 50-day EMA and the $2,320 low into play. For now, this Ethereum price analysis points to a market testing whether the bounce has enough strength to turn the trend.
