Bitbase has built a strong reputation over the last three years, and now aims to translate that foundation into a broader, global trading platform. Originally founded in 2023, the exchange expanded in 2026 into a fully-fledged product combining spot markets, USDT-margined futures, TradFi products, fiat on-ramping, and more than 800 trading pairs in one account.
The proposition is a good one: give active traders access to crypto and traditional markets in one place rather than forcing them to move funds between multiple platforms. Bitbase backs that range with competitive fees, a clean interface, 24/7 support, and a security model built around hot and cold wallet separation and MPC-based multi-signature technology.
The exchange makes a strong first impression, with a fast, uncluttered interface and the ease with which users can create an account without completing KYC verification at the start of their trading. More extensive verification is required for certain functions, including most withdrawals and fiat purchases, but you can get going quickly.
In this Bitbase review, we examine the exchange’s markets, futures platform, TradFi products, security infrastructure, fees, customer support, and account-opening process.
Our Verdict on Bitbase
Bitbase is an extremely strong centralized exchange for traders who want more than a basic place to buy a little Bitcoin. It supports spot trading and USDT-margined perpetual futures, while its TradFi section extends the product range to price exposure linked to a huge range of stocks, precious metals, forex, crude oil, and indices. We really like seeing all this under one roof.
Its standard trading fees are competitive, with Spot trades at 0.1% for both makers and takers, while standard futures fees are 0.02% for Makers and 0.06% for Takers. We see this as a good place for active derivatives traders placing limit orders.
Bitbase handles onboarding well, allowing users to register with an email address or phone number without immediately completing KYC. However, this should not be confused with a completely anonymous exchange, with ID required for certain services and withdrawals.
We dig into security later, but we are pleased with all the institutional-level security steps taken.
The combination of low fees, a responsive interface, derivatives, TradFi markets, fiat access, and round-the-clock support makes Bitbase an excellent option for anyone in crypto.

What Is Bitbase?
At its heart, Bitbase is a centralized, global exchange offering online cryptocurrency and derivatives trading. It describes itself with the slogan “Trust Through Every Cycle,” making the platform a professional trading environment rather than a speculative or gamified crypto spot.
Spot trading is available for users to buy and sell crypto directly, while the futures platform supports USDT-settled perpetual contracts with isolated and cross-margin modes.
Bitbase also operates a TradFi section that tracks markets outside crypto, including stocks (Apple, Amazon, Coinbase), tokenized assets like PAX Gold and Tether Gold, precious metals, foreign exchange, crude oil, and major indices.
The TradFi tools allow users to take price exposure through their Bitbase account rather than opening a separate conventional brokerage account – remember that these are price-linked products rather than direct ownership of the underlying shares, currencies, or commodities.
The result is an excellent pick-n-mix trading platform, wider than the name “crypto exchange” implies. A user can buy Bitcoin on the spot market, open a perpetual futures position, or trade a product linked to gold or a stock index from the same account.
Bitbase supports more than 890 trading pairs, and publishes a system uptime of 99.99% and an order-matching speed below 10 milliseconds (we can’t verify these but list them for completeness).
Visit BitbaseSupported Markets and Assets
As we see it, Bitbase divides its markets into three main areas: spot cryptocurrency trading, perpetual futures, and TradFi-linked products.
The spot exchange covers all your established assets, such as Bitcoin and Ethereum, alongside stablecoin-denominated trading pairs. The number and availability of individual pairs can change as Bitbase lists new markets (we noticed another 600 pairs landed on the platform over the last two months), so check the live market page for the latest updates.
The futures platform uses perpetual contracts settled in USDT – unlike dated futures, perpetual contracts do not expire. Traders can maintain a position while they have sufficient margin, subject to funding payments, maintenance-margin requirements, and liquidation rules.
Bitbase does support both cross and isolated margin: In isolated mode, the margin assigned to one position is separated from the rest of the derivatives balance. Cross-margin shares available margin across positions. The latter can improve capital efficiency, but a severe loss in one trade can place the rest of the futures account at risk. We appreciate the choice, but as ever, advise people to do the research when stepping into futures.
The TradFi area is unusually broad for a newer crypto exchange – it’s a very complete service. Bitbase covers more than 100 products covering:
- Stocks
- Precious metals
- Forex
- Crude oil
- Stock indices
- Digital assets
These instruments are described as digital certificates that follow the prices of corresponding traditional assets. Users receive price exposure, but you do not get direct ownership rights in the underlying security or commodity. The instruments may also behave differently when the underlying conventional market is closed, with Bitbase warning that liquidity can be lower outside normal market hours.
The platform advertises leverage as high as 200x on some TradFi products. We always expect people to know their stuff before experimenting with big numbers, but it’s an excellent service for those who understand the product.
Bitbase Features and Trading Tools
In our view, Bitbase is built around active trading rather than passive crypto ownership, but you also get a strong spot trading offering.
Spot Trading
The spot market allows users to exchange one digital asset for another at the current market price or at a specified limit price. Bitbase supports market, limit, stop, and take-profit orders. Stop and take-profit orders are conditional and may not execute at the precise trigger price during rapid market moves or periods of weak liquidity.
The standard fee of 0.1% for makers and takers is straightforward (so a $1,000 spot purchase would incur a $1 trading fee before any spread, withdrawal charge, or third-party payment cost).
The interface is welcomes newbies as well as pros, perhaps with a bias to users who have traded before. The order book, chart, order entry panel, open orders, and trade history are arranged in a familiar exchange layout.
USDT-Margined Futures
Bitbase’s futures market is one of the platform’s main selling points, with contracts margined and settled in USDT, which makes profit, loss, collateral, and account values easier to follow than coin-margined contracts. Traders can go long when they expect an asset’s price to rise, or short when they expect it to fall.
Perpetual futures use funding payments to keep the contract price close to the underlying spot index. Bitbase says funding is typically settled every eight hours, although traders should always check the individual contract because funding rates and settlement details can change.
The standard futures fee is 0.02% for makers and 0.06% for takers, so it rewards traders who provide liquidity with limit orders.
As said before, Bitbase supplies isolated and cross-margin settings, risk limits, liquidation controls, and a fast matching system.
TradFi Markets
The TradFi section is the feature that most clearly separates Bitbase from a basic spot exchange – users can trade products whose values track traditional markets without maintaining a separate brokerage account. Bitbase lists categories covering shares, stock indices, precious metals, oil, foreign exchange, and digital assets.
When a TradFi position is closed, the resulting profit or loss is settled within the user’s Bitbase balance and can then be withdrawn to a linked crypto wallet, subject to account verification and the platform’s withdrawal rules. Effectively, everything under one roof.
Remember that buying a stock-linked contract on Bitbase is not the same as buying a share through a regulated stockbroker. The user does not necessarily receive voting rights, dividends, shareholder protections, or legal ownership of the underlying security. But if you’re seeking price exposure, this is everything you need.
The products also introduce funding costs and counterparty exposure. Their availability may depend on the user’s location.
The ability to move between crypto and conventional market themes from one collateral account is excellent – it reduces the need to transfer capital between separate exchanges and brokers, and is a fee-saver as well.
We also want to note the Earn services, which let you earn up to ~7% on USDT and USDC, and ~4% on BTC, although we didn’t test these services across our review period.
Fiat Purchases
Bitbase has a Quick Buy service that lets users purchase cryptocurrency with fiat money.
The platform lists Visa, Mastercard, Google Pay, and Apple Pay among the possible payment options, but availability will depend on the chosen fiat currency, cryptocurrency, payment provider, and user location. We tried a few methods and found our coins arrived within one to five minutes.
Bitbase uses reputable independent third-party payment providers, and you may be asked for additional identity or payment information. Fees are decent – during testing, we used an available AmoPay route with a $0.99 provider fee on a transaction of a few hundred dollars.
Is Bitbase Legitimate and Safe?
Bitbase is a reputable centralized exchange operated under the name Bitbase Corp, first founded in 2023 and growing quickly.
The platform publishes detailed terms of use, a risk disclosure statement, trading policies, account-security guidance, and operational announcements. Customer assets are protected through hot and cold wallet separation, MPC-based multi-signature technology, multi-layer approval workflows, tiered access permissions, and real-time monitoring designed to intercept suspicious withdrawals. Basically, every best-in-class requirement we’d expect in 2026.
We also appreciate the use of 2FA (Google Authenticator, etc.) for withdrawals, a massive help to boost security on the user’s end.
Visit BitbaseHow User-Friendly Is Bitbase?
For a service with so many features, Bitbase is remarkably uncluttered and easy to move around, and there are all the tools you expect (especially from a charting perspective) without overwhelming newer crypto traders. You’ll find what you need depending on your experience, without too much arriving in your face at once.
The trading terminal is information-dense: charts, available pairs, order books, order controls, position information, and trading history are within reach, and there’s no slowdown when switching between markets and products.
Bitbase also offers Android and iOS apps, and the exchange promotes the same core trading services across web and mobile (with a handy way to log in on desktop via your mobile, Netflix-style), allowing users to monitor positions and manage their accounts away from a desktop.
How to Get Started With Bitbase
The initial setup is relatively quick, but users intending to withdraw or buy crypto with fiat should complete verification and security setup before depositing hundreds of dollars.
-
Create a Bitbase account
Open the Bitbase website or app and register using an email address or phone number. Set a strong password that you do not use for any other exchange or financial account.
-
Complete identity verification
Initial registration can begin without immediate document verification, but KYC is required for certain services. Complete the process before relying on the account for withdrawals or fiat purchases.
-
Activate Google Authenticator
Bitbase requires Google Authenticator for cryptocurrency withdrawals. Enable it before depositing funds and store any recovery information securely and offline.
-
Deposit crypto or use Quick Buy
You can deposit a supported cryptocurrency from an external wallet or, where available, purchase crypto through Bitbase’s third-party fiat providers. Confirm the correct asset and blockchain network before sending a deposit.
-
Move funds to the appropriate account
Allocate funds to the spot, futures, or relevant product account. Only transfer collateral into the futures area after reviewing the contract, leverage, funding rate, and liquidation price.
-
Place your first trade
Select a market and choose an order type. A limit order offers more control over the execution price, while a market order prioritizes speed and may experience slippage.
Our Bitbase Verdict
Bitbase is a well-designed exchange, especially for active traders, and its spot offering offers low fees, a wide range, and high liquidity.
We appreciate how Spot and USDT-margined futures are available under one account, and the TradFi section adds exposure to markets that many crypto exchanges do not cover.
Fiat purchasing routes make it easier to fund an account, while the web and mobile interfaces are fast and sensibly organized – we liked doing major tasks on desktop, but monitoring positions on the move.
We see Bitbase as one of the top exchanges for traders who want spot, futures, and – as a standout feature – TradFi offerings under one roof. Being able to move between crypto, metals, forex, oil, equities, and indices without continually transferring capital between different platforms feels like an invention.
