Gaming giants SEGA and Ubisoft are building on Oasys, and a new partnership with SBI’s NFT Market sees them enter the Japanese market.

Oasys is a Gaming-centric blockchain network that aims to grow the crypto gaming space in Japan. This has taken a giant step forward via its newly announced partnership with SBINFT Market. SBINFT is an NFT marketplace headed up by a subsidiary of the Strategic Business Innovation (SBI) Group, a financial services behemoth based in Tokyo, Japan.

Oasys’ Track Record Working With Industry Titans

They have garnered interest from traditional video game giants such as Ubisoft, Bandai Namco, and SEGA.

On October 23, they announced a collaboration with gaming giant Ubisoft for an upcoming game called Champions Tactics: Grimoria Chronicles. Alongside Ubisoft’s foray into the world of blockchain games (BCG), Bandai Namco launched an AI-driven game named RYUZO, an NFT pet game facilitated by Oasys in combination with OASYX. This was the first ever NFT project minted on its Hub-Layer.

What Does This Partnership with SBINFT Signal for Oasys?

The SBINFT Market now supports assets from Oasys’ Hub-Layer (layer-1) and MCH Verse (layer-2) blockchains, in addition to its initial integration with Oasys’ HOME Verse. If the platform approves, developers building on the network will be able to sell NFTs via the marketplace.

“SBINFT Market’s support for Oasys’ Hub-Layer and MCH Verse significantly enhances our ecosystem, providing users and developers with broader opportunities for monetization and engagement within the blockchain gaming space,” said Oasys Director Daiki Moriyama, in a blog post on their own website.

“We are excited to deepen our presence in Japan, bringing our unique gaming-focused blockchain solutions to one of the most innovative markets in the world.”

An NFT Marketplace Built With Security In Mind

To ensure platform security, only NFTs from authorized artists and Oasys-affiliated providers are eligible for listing on SBINFT Market. Launched in 2021, SBINFT lists tokenized assets across categories such as digital art, music, and in-game items.

Transactions can be made via cryptocurrencies and credit cards. The marketplace currently supports NFTs on both the Ethereum and Polygon networks.
