Base is well and truly back. Only one week into ‘On-chain Summer’, degens are flocking back to Base in droves.
Monke is a prime example of a Base project that benefits from the Layer-1’s resurgence.

Monke Coin: The Next Cabal Meme Coin After Brett?
Monke launched on June 7, just a few days after the On-Chain Summer campaign kicked off on Base.
On launch, it instantly shot up to a $20 million market cap without much fanfare, and many are likening it to Brett.
Brett is the number one meme coin on base and recently hit an all-time high of $1.8 billion market cap.
It is known as a ‘cabal’ coin, which is controlled by insiders and destined to continue pumping. Many people say that Brett is controlled by people within or associated with the Base chain and, therefore, believe it will be listed on Coinbase before long.
The bubble map for Monke at this stage looks eerily similar to Brett early on, with lots of large linked wallets that were considered bearish for the longest time.
Monke Going Bananas On Base Meme Coin
All the metrics for Monke so far look positive. Its daily volume consistently ranges between $500,000 – 1.5 million.
Also, in just four days since going live, it has amassed over 800 holders. The team is extremely active, engaging with all of the big players within the Base ecosystem.
They produce great content which is helping to build a cult-like community that believe $100 million market cap is the next step for Monke.
After its huge run since launch, Monke is currently in a dip and down nearly 30% within the last 24 hours.
Base looks set to be the chain to be on this Summer. Couple this with Monke performing eerily similarly to Brett in its infancy, and there is a good chance Monke will be a top performer for meme coins on Base over the coming months.

DAWGZ – BaseDawgz Presale Heating Up
BaseDawgz launched its presale one week ago, and it is already nearing the $1 million mark. There is a lot of excitement around this meme coin, and personally, for me, it is giving off Book Of Meme (BOME) vibes.
That was the biggest presale on Solana of this year, raising over $100 million and hitting a $2 billion market cap at its peak.
Base attracts new degens daily due to the Coinbase Smart Wallet being live coupled with its ‘On-Chain Summer’ campaign.
This is leaving investors searching for the next big thing for the Layer-1 and BaseDawgz ticks all of the boxes.
