Survey Shows Number Of Crypto Millionaires, Billionaires Increased Over Past Year

Due to the rise in cryptocurrency values over the past year, the number of Bitcoin millionaires has increased by 111%.

Henley & Partners’ Crypto Wealth Report 2024 states that as of 30 July 2024, there were 85,400 Bitcoin millionaires worldwide, more than doubling in size from the previous year.

Crypto Wealth Report Shows Crypto Millionaires Are On Rise

Bitcoin is not the only digital asset that has created millionaires.

As per the survey, there are 172,300 individuals globally who possess digital assets valued at more than $1 million. Comparing this to the 88,200 crypto millionaires at this time last year, there has been a rise of around 95%.

The number of crypto centi-millionaires, i.e. those who have amassed a fortune exceeding $100 million through cryptocurrency, has also increased. There has been a 79% increase, with 325 of these people currently in existence.

5 New Bitcoin Billionaires Added Over Past 12 Months

The number of cryptocurrency billionaires increased over the past year, with six freshly minted crypto-billionaires added to the overall number.

There are now 28 cryptocurrency billionaires at this moment in time.

Andrew Amoils, head of research at New World Wealth, says that five of these new billionaires made their fortune with Bitcoin. He said, “Of the six new crypto billionaires created over the past year, five came from Bitcoin, underscoring its dominant position when it comes to attracting long-term investors who buy large holdings.”

According to Coingecko data, BTC is up by more than 141% over the previous year, currently trading between $62,700 – $62,900 at the time of writing.

Many market participants and analysts are expecting Bitcoin to range between $62,000-$67,000 for the remainder of Q3 before exploding toward $100,000 at the end of this year.
