Hacker Made Off With Over Half A Million Dollars In Less Than An Hour
With the rising popularity of the Truth Terminal chatbot, unsuspecting investors pounced on this token called by its owners’ social media accounts. IB quickly pumped to a market cap of more than $25 million. Unsurprisingly, the hacker began a mass sell-off, netting over $600,000, per DEX Screener.
With the hacker dumping his bags at the top, the price of IB quickly sank over 95%, bringing the market cap down to $500,000. A community take-over has since been initiated, and the price has since rebounded, currently ranging between $2-3 million in market cap.

Truth Terminal Creator Briefly Regained Access To His X Account
Ayrey temporarily regained control of his social media account. He made a post to explain that the hacker had likely carried out a SIM swap attack to gain access to his accounts. “Finally got back into my account. The hacker socially engineered my mobile carrier. Sorry about that.” Ayrey posted to X.
The Truth Terminal founders’ account recovery was short-lived, and that post has since been deleted, with the hacker somehow regaining access to Ayrey’s X account. As of an hour ago, the hacker was asking readers if he should do a ‘fair launch with no bundle for the community.’ A bundled launch is where the deployer of a token snipes a percentage of the supply before the contract address goes public.

After Regaining Access To Ayrey’s Account, Hacker Is Now Attempting A Second Scam
The hacker has been posting links to a Telegram channel named ‘printingonsol’ while promising to take ‘all my n*ggas out the trenches.’ At around 6 a.m. GMT, the scammer posted on Ayrey’s X account, saying, “Launching within 10 – 15 mins. Repost and drop your SOL wallets, too, buying 1 SOL dev supply and airdropping some of my n*ggas.”
Just 20 minutes later, his last post, in all caps, simply read, “BE READY MY N*GGAS.” Ayrey’s social media account has been radio silent since that message. Many believe the hacker lost access before he could launch the contract address for his second scam of the day.
What Is Truth Terminal?
Truth Terminal has gained much attention in the crypto community after becoming the first AI chatbot to amass holdings exceeding $1 million. These holdings came via its association with the GOAT meme coin and other meme coins the chatbot appeared to have endorsed during interactions on social media.
Andy Ayrey created Truth Terminal by training a custom version of Anthropic’s Claude 3 Opus large language model. He accomplished this by using a collection of his personal writing and data from social media sites, mostly 4chan, Reddit, and X.
