A new crypto game entry bearing US President Donald Trump’s name has recently made headlines, but the details reveal something unusual for a “Web3” launch. Players can skip the crypto component entirely, making it feel more like a Web2 title dressed in blockchain branding than a true Web3 game.
PepeNode (PEPENODE), in contrast, takes the opposite approach – a fully Web3-native game where blockchain is the backbone of the entire system. And instead of recycling the broken Play-to-Earn formulas that unraveled Axie, StepN, and last year’s Telegram games, PepeNode is introducing crypto’s first mine-to-earn meme coin model built for long-term sustainability.
Where some projects are cautiously experimenting with GameFi, PepeNode commits outright that if GameFi is going to evolve, it argues, it should evolve properly.
For investors looking to get behind what could become the first sustainable crypto game economy, the presale is live at $0.0011873 per PEPENODE.
However, the window is limited, as PepeNode recently announced the end of its presale in 27 days. This means that after that, PEPENODE will only be obtainable on exchanges, where prices may never return to the presale lows.
Blockchain Is Optional: But Can You Really Call It GameFi?
A post from the TrumpMeme X account recently announced pre-registration for a licensed Trump-themed game. Called the Trump Billionaires Club, the website shows Trump in an Apprentice-style persona, with gameplay built around rolling dice, acquiring properties, dabbling in the stock market (oddly, skipping the crypto market), and climbing a flashy “high-roller” ladder.
Players are promised the chance to “Live the High-Roller Lifestyle as you race to become the Ultimate TRUMP Billionaire!” – though the real attraction is a share of $1 million worth of Official Trump (TRUMP) tokens.
The game integrates with Open Loot to distribute digital collectibles, which is a mechanic crypto veterans will recognize as classic Web2.5 wrapped in Web3 language. But a closer look at the website makes something obvious: the entire game functions perfectly even without blockchain.
In fact, Web3 participation is explicitly optional, and players can transact using non-crypto currencies. So, when the game claims, “Your empire, on-chain,” what if everything works off-chain? Where exactly does the ‘empire’ live?
This makes it clear that the game, while potentially exciting, is not an attempt to solve any of the long-standing issues GameFi has struggled with, i.e., the same issues that caused millions of newcomers to enter crypto through gaming, only to exit just as fast when token economies collapsed.
If blockchain gaming is going to move forward, those problems need real solutions. And right now, the project actually tackling them isn’t a Monopoly makeover but the mine-to-earn ecosystem PepeNode is building.
The First GameFi Economy Designed To Get Stronger Over Time
PepeNode keeps everything straightforward. It’s crypto mining turned into a virtual game. But once you peel back a layer, it’s obvious the project plans to quietly dismantle the broken skeleton of old GameFi.
The proposed gameplay doesn’t throw players into a boring cycle of tapping, clicking, or running in circles. Instead, it hands them a dead, empty server room that says: ‘Build something that works.’
Every move (e.g., node purchases, facility upgrades) is paid for with PEPENODE, and every choice has consequences. When you combine the wrong nodes, your rig becomes unstable and begins to crawl. If you combine the right ones, suddenly you’re printing tokens like a well-oiled farm. It’s closer to engineering than “playing,” which is exactly the point.
And unlike a game propped up by a “Web3” sticker and a Trump-branded costume, when PepeNode says simulation, it means it. The team is already teasing mechanics that mirror the headaches real miners battle daily, such as heat spikes, power draw, system stability, aka the whole mess. Only here you don’t run up your electricity bill in the process.
And while players do earn PEPENODE from their setups, the token’s role goes much further. The more tokens are spent in-game to optimize a rig, the higher the potential for unlocking higher-tier rewards, such as major meme coin assets like Pepe (PEPE) and Fartcoin (FARTCOIN).
Crucially, every upgrade also consumes PEPENODE, and 70% of those tokens are removed from circulation forever. That means progression doesn’t inflate supply; it tightens it. The more active the game becomes, the scarcer PEPENODE gets.
This blend of strategic construction, meaningful spending, and desirable crypto rewards is why PepeNode is being pointed to as a genuine contender for the first GameFi model built for long-term durability.
Not Too Late To Buy PEPENODE
Now, while the presale window is still open, early supporters can secure PEPENODE and directly back the development of the game. Tokens can be purchased through the PepeNode presale site using ETH, BNB, USDT (ERC-20 or BEP-20), or even credit and debit cards.
Buyers can connect with any major wallet, including Best Wallet, widely regarded as one of the best crypto and Bitcoin wallets today. PepeNode is already featured in Best Wallet’s Upcoming Tokens discovery feed, allowing users to buy, track, and later claim their tokens seamlessly within the app.
The project’s smart contract has been fully audited by Coinsult, giving early adopters confidence in the integrity and security of the code.
