Things took a turn for the worse after the July presidential election.

Events after this contentious election have been harrowing, according to some observers.

The Maduro government has been cracking down on dissidents and protestors, arresting over 1,000 citizens. Unfortunately, at least 20 people have died.

They can use several avenues, but one minter chose Enjin, one of the first pro-NFT platforms.

One such NFT on the Enjin platform caught the attention of a developer.

It wasn’t how it was designed or how catchy the associated file was. Instead, it was its profound message and the pleadings with which the minter tagged the file.

Dragon King created the “Pray for Venezuela” NFT to raise awareness about the ongoing crisis in Venezuela.

Considering what the message relayed, the Enjin developer said the NFT could be the “most moving NFT” ever on the platform.

In the post on X, the developer highlighted how crucial technology has been over the years.

From radio and social media to the blockchain, its transformative impact is there for everyone to see.

Though the blockchain, he continued, is associated with payments, as seen with the wild success of Bitcoin and other iterations, some of its other applications, including distributing content and ideas via NFTs, for instance, cannot be overlooked.

As of September 2, the “Pray for Venezuela” NFT trades for 1 ENJ, or around $0.14.

The “Pray for Venezuela” collection has 500 items.

So far, 481 NFTs have been sold – illuminating a major philanthropic trend amid Venezuela blackout politics.
