Just hours ago, Binance announced an Avantis (AVNT) crypto HODLer Airdrop for BNB holders. Right after, AVNT coin price dumped hard, sliding from over $1.50 to under $1.00 in only a few hours. The community’s furious, calling out Binance for wrecking momentum after the coin had been in straight “up only” mode for days.

The airdrop totals 30,000,000 AVNT tokens. Ten million will hit the market soon, with another 20 million unlocking six months later, all basically free supply waiting to be dumped.

Fidelity Digital Assets researcher Zack Wainwright has written a report claiming that research shows that diamond-handed public companies could hold as much as 28% of the 21 million Bitcoin supply by the end of this year. The BTC USD price is up +0.7% on the day, with US Fed rate cuts expected tomorrow (September 17).

The report, named ‘Bitcoin’s Illiquid Supply,’ defined two types of BTC holders that defined its threshold of illiquid supply. These are wallets with Bitcoin that last moved seven or more years ago, and public companies holding at least 1,000 BTC.

As of September 16, three of Ethena Labs’ products were in the top 50. The platform’s native algorithmic stablecoin, USDe, trailed Hyperliquid (HYPE) in the top 20. At the same time, ENA is perched at 41st, flipping Bitget and Pepe. Even though ENA USD might be under pressure in the last week of trading, ENA crypto holders are upbeat and expect a sharp reversal in the coming days.

On Coingecko, the ENA price is changing hands at around $0.70, down -15% in the past week of trading but relatively stable in the last 24 hours. Even with this dump, ENA crypto is up +230% year-to-date and trending at around last month’s close, soaking in selling pressure.

Meanwhile, on DefiLlama, Ethena continues to attract more assets. The protocol currently manages over $13.8Bn in assets. Notably, at this level, the total assets under management have rapidly expanded, rising from around $5.4Bn in early July to more than doubling to $13.8Bn, an all-time high as of September 2025.

Zooming to XRP USDT trading status across top perpetual exchanges, momentum is slowly building. According to Coinglass, the long/short ratio on Binance averages over 3, suggesting that most traders and XRP accounts expect the XRP price to edge higher.

Coinbase’s Base network may soon introduce a native token. Jesse Pollak, the founder of Base, mentioned this at the recent BaseCamp event. He indicated that they are exploring the possibility, although nothing has been finalized yet.
