Bitcoin Maxi legend Michael Saylor has announced a collaboration with Ordinals, the Bitcoin technology capable of making NFT assets on BTC and the new project will be named “MicroStrategy Orange.”

Michael Saylor of MicroStrategy just dropped a bombshell that’s got everyone talking. His company is eyeing the BRC-20 token standard Ordinals project, which can make NFT assets on BTC.

He’s calling this venture “MicroStrategy Orange.”

The big unlock here would be an online verification system that replaces blue check marks with the security of Bitcoin’s blockchain:

“Wouldn’t it be great if instead of a blue check, green check, etc., there was an orange check that was a global standard? With MicroStrategy, maybe we could approach this idea of decentralized identity, with Bitcoin.”

With this announcement, MicroStrategy purchased an additional 122 Bitcoin, increasing its holdings to a staggering $13.5 billion.

This move is seen amid a hellishly volatile crypto market and showcases the company’s belief in Bitcoin’s long-term value.

Say Goodbye to Blue Verify Checkmark, Say Hello to MicroStrategy Orange

Elon Musk? Mark Zuckerberg? Step aside.

The MicroStrategy Orange project promises to accommodate up to 10,000 decentralized identifiers within a single transaction, promoting a trustless, tamper-proof system for managing decentralized identities.

It is detailed in an unofficial draft on GitHub, is designed to be open-source.

Using email as an example, Cezary Raczko, MicroStrategy’s EVP of engineering, explained that keys generated via MicroStrategy Orange will use Ordinals inscriptions for enhanced security.

This announcement came during his Bitcoin For Corporations talk on May 1, where Saylor has been a consistent vocal advocate for Bitcoin and its utility.

MicroStrategy previously announced integrating Bitcoin’s Lightning Network into its corporate email system.

This move leveraged the Lightning Network’s capability for cheaper and faster Bitcoin payments, further exploring Bitcoin’s potential as a multifaceted infrastructure layer.
