After the Karrat Crypto Foundation — linked to the battle royale game My Pet Hooligan — announced in March that it would collaborate with the Arbitrum Foundation to launch a gaming-focused chain called Studio Chain, aimed at fostering Web3-native capabilities in entertainment and video games, it seems updates are finally on the horizon. The team recently posted an exciting tweet, saying: “Year 1… Building, Year 2… Delivery. The journey has just begun.”

Karrat Crypto Foundation Is Back Again With New Excitement. Is it worth it?
Founded with the vision to empower creators and communities, Karrat Protocol achieved notable success with the early access launch of My Pet Hooligan in 2023. The game has reportedly surpassed 500,000 downloads on the Epic Games Store and is also listed as early access on Xbox and Steam. Building on this momentum, the team announced a collaboration with Arbitrum to launch Studio Chain, a gaming-focused blockchain that will serve as the host for My Pet Hooligan.
“The collaboration places the KARRAT token at the forefront of the chain and makes it the flagship game of the budding ecosystem,” said Luke Paglia, co-founder and COO of AMGI Studios, also saying that “interoperability will help extend the chain’s headline game to Xbox game consoles and additional PC gaming launchpads in the coming months.”
Despite their many promises and updates, the tweet’s meaning is still unclear. My Pet Hooligan has lost most of its player base and is still in early access, unreleased on most platforms. This may be a factor in why it’s hard for the community to get excited again, despite the project team’s big ambitions.
Looking at the current KARRAT price action, since launch, it has gone through a tough patch and clearly doesn’t reflect on the team’s ambition for the project, as they have to compete with giants in crypto gaming chains like Immutable (IMX) and Ronin as well as other solely game cryptos like SAND and MANA.
