Despite criticism, Trump Media & Public Group celebrated its first anniversary of public trading in April 2025. A letter released by President Trump’s team discusses the potential launch of a new token for Truth Social, his social media platform. Stating that it will be part of a rewards program, Trump’s team said they are exploring the introduction of a utility token with a Truth digital wallet, which could initially be used to pay for Truth+ subscription costs and later be applied to other products and services in the Truth ecosphere.
This announcement received mixed reactions. The official company stock, DJT, showed little response, slipping just 0.40%, while $Trump Coin dropped by 11% on the daily chart.
