South Korea’s crypto market just handed traders a rare divergence worth watching. XRP Ripple is holding roughly level with its global price on Korean exchanges while Bitcoin trades at a measurable discount, a split that cuts against the usual narrative of uniform local selling pressure.
Bitcoin on Upbit briefly touched roughly $63,800 while offshore BTC traded near $64,100, a discount that inverted the so-called “kimchi premium”, the historically documented tendency for Korean exchanges to price BTC at a premium versus international markets.
XRP is holding steady, down a modest 0.6% over the past 24 hours, trading at $1.09, just below its crucial resistance level at $1.10. Daily trading volume for Ripple is at $809M, up +5% from yesterday.
👀XRP just did $82M+ in 24h volume on Upbit alone 13.58% of the entire exchange's volume.
That's more than Bitcoin. More than Ethereum. On South Korea's biggest exchange.

Can the XRP Ripple Price Reclaim $1.20 While Korea’s Bitcoin Discount Persists?
XRP is currently trading in the $1.05–$1.08 range on Korean exchanges, roughly +1% over the past week and outperforming Bitcoin’s weekly gains. XRP/KRW is the most actively traded pair on Upbit, logging approximately $110M in 24-hour volume, ahead of BTC/KRW at $88.6M and ETH/KRW at $67M.
On Bithumb, XRP/KRW added another $41M, again beating both rivals. Total 24-hour XRP volume across leading Korean platforms has crossed $1.2Bn, underscoring the depth of speculative positioning.
Technically, a symmetrical triangle breakout attempt is in play. Key support sits at the breached upper trendline near $1.04–$1.08; the setup is invalidated on a daily close below $1.02.
Horizontal resistance clusters near $1.10 and 1.14. A decisive daily close above that level opens upside targets in the $1.17–$1.21 zone.
Meanwhile, Bitcoin’s Korea Premium Index sits near -1.18%, confirming BTC still trades cheaper on local venues, cautious retail, not chasing. XRP’s near-parity with global pricing is the contrast that matters.
Three scenarios are in play for XRP Ripple now:
Bull case: XRP holds $1.06 support, volume stays elevated in Korea, and a daily close above $1.10 targets $1.20+
Base case: Consolidation between $1.06 and $1.09 as the market digests the current market structure and waits for BTC to stabilize.
Bear/invalidation: A close below $1.02 reopens the sub-$1.00 level, which could see support at $0.94 tested.

LiquidChain Targets Early-Stage Positioning as XRP Tests Critical Resistance
The XRP Ripple Korean premium reflects genuine retail conviction, but the asset is still down roughly -5% on the month and losing ground to Ethereum.
For traders who believe the cross-chain liquidity thesis, the same thesis driving XRP’s Korean volumes, but don’t want full exposure to a coin already priced in the dollar range, early-stage infrastructure plays offer a different entry point into the same macro trend.
LiquidChain is a Layer 3 (L3) infrastructure project, Layer 3 meaning it sits atop existing Layer 1 and Layer 2 networks to aggregate their capabilities, built around a single premise: to fuse Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana liquidity into a single execution environment.
Its architecture includes a Unified Liquidity Layer, Single-Step Execution, Verifiable Settlement, and a Deploy-Once model that lets developers build once and access all three ecosystems simultaneously. The presale has raised $913,469.23 at a current price of $0.01481 per $LIQUID token.
