The crypto markets continue to climb for the second day running, as the combined market cap for crypto is inching back toward $3 trillion, per CoinGecko. One of the best performers over the past 24 hours is Cronos (CRO), with rumors of an upcoming CRO ETF swirling.
Cronos, which is up nearly 30% since yesterday, is the blockchain behind the crypto.com exchange. It is booming on the back of a press release from yesterday (24 March 2025). It states that crypto.com has partnered with Donald Trump’s Truth Social platform.

Crypto.com Collaboration With Trump’s Truth Social Explained: Is A CRO ETF On The Way?
Yesterday’s announcement of a partnership between crypto.com and Truth Social says that the two firms intend to launch a series of exchange-traded funds (ETFs).
The offerings will be made up of digital assets as well as securities with a focus on ‘Made in America’ products. The press release went on to say that the funds will span a diverse set of industries such as energy.
One aspect of the press release has likely caused the CRO price to spike. It mentioned the launch of a CRO ETF.
Kris Marszalek, CEO for crypto.com said, “We are proud to partner with Truth Social (DJT) and Yorkvi le America, and to support the launch of these new ETFs, including the first of its kind basket of tokens including CRO.”
“These ETFs will give consumers more options from a brand with a loyal following,” he added. “Once launched, these ETFs will be available on the Crypto.com App for our more than 140 million users around the world.”
A US/Trump-backed CRO ETF could mean that its 30% daily pump is merely a drop in the ocean as what’s to come. If it indeed comes to fruition, the Cronos chain and its wider ecosystem will likely explode and could even be the next Solana or BNB Smart Chain.
What Next For The Price Of Cronos (CRO) Crypto?
As of now, CRO is in the process of breaking through a large sell wall, which ends at around $0.119. If it breaks through that sell wall, the next one is starts at around $0.19.
From there, the sell wall ends at roughly $0.235. In what will be music to CRO investors everywhere, after $0.235, there is no more resistance. At that point, the real bull market begins for Cronos.
On the back of the ETF announcement, CRO has seen a spike not only in price, but also trading volume. Prior to the news, it had been average daily volumes of between $20-40 million. In the past 24 hours, Cronos has processed more than $101 million, showing the demand for CRO with a potential ETF on the way.
CRO still has a long way to go to reach its November 2021 of $0.89. However, the launch of a Cronos ETF in conjunction with President Trump and his Truth Social platform would give it the fuel needed to make a good attempt.
