Meme coins are leading the way as the crypto market continues to show signs of strength. While the overall combined crypto market cap is up 1.5% in the past day, the meme coin sector is up 6.8%. Today we will do a deep dive on TRUMP, FARTCOIN and MEMEX as three to watch out for.
Following last week’s news from the Fed that interest rates will stay the same for now, it has given the market some much-needed breathing room to make bullish moves, with meme coins showing the best gains.
The combined market cap for the meme coin space has now surpassed $55 billion, with over $6.9 billion in daily trading volume. Here are three meme coin picks to keep an eye on;
Top Meme Coins Pick No.1 – Official Trump Coin (TRUMP)
The official Trump token, TRUMP, has finally broken out of a two-month-long downtrend as it bounced from a key support level of $10. Now trading close to $12, TRUMP looks ready to keep climbing toward its January all-time high of $70.
It is officially endorsed by the US President, Donald Trump, who has begun his second term as President by being incredibly pro-crypto. TRUMP is the perfect meme coin play for those who believe Trump will continue to highlight crypto as a huge opportunity for America to become a global player in the space.
With high chances that the Fed will begin Quantitive Easing in May, meaning risk-on assets such as crypto will become heavily favored, betting on a Trump-backed meme coin seems like a smart play.
TRUMP has a market cap of over $2 billion and has impressively processed over $1.5 billion in trading volume over the past 24 hours. It is available on all major exchanges except Coinbase. A Coinbase listing would likely cause a further spike in hype and demand, giving TRUMP yet another leg-up.
Meme Coins Pick No.2 – Fartcoin (FARTCOIN)
FARTCOIN was the meme coin on everyone’s lips throughout December last year and into January 2025, when it hit an all-time high of $2. At that January peak, FARTCOIN had a market cap of over $2 billion, making it a top-five meme coin at that time.
Along with the rest of the market, FARTCOIN suffered a large drawdown and is currently trading for around $0.56. It has a market cap of roughly $560 million.
