Stacks – STX crypto is trading at $0.4379, up 1.33% over 24 hours, as traders weigh a sharp multiweek rally against the resistance sitting just overhead. The near-term question is whether demand for Bitcoin staking can carry Stacks higher, or whether profit-taking takes control first.
The run has been substantial. Stacks has gained roughly 14% over seven days and more than 50% in four weeks, a move tied to Stacks’ non-custodial Bitcoin staking design and the Bonding Period 3 upgrade expected in November.
The mechanism behind that rally is worth understanding, because it links two tokens directly. Participants holding native STX must lock a fixed ratio of STX alongside their Bitcoin, equivalent to roughly 5% of the total value of their BTC, to secure protocol-stacking capacity.
That creates a feedback loop. As more Bitcoin enters the Stacks ecosystem, a larger share of STX is locked and removed from the active market, tying Bitcoin liquidity to STX scarcity.

The main driver seems that is Stacks' new Bitcoin staking, which targets a ~3% yield paid in BTC.

Can Stacks Price Hit $0.70 This Week? The Gap Before That Level

The chart has an unusual feature right now. STX has just reclaimed $0.4011, a level that acted as the ceiling for nearly a year, and above it the price history is almost empty.
STX crypto will be decided at these levels:
- The floor: $0.4011. Resistance since the October 2025 breakdown, reclaimed this week. Holding it on the first pullback is what turns old resistance into support.
- The open gap: $0.5514. Roughly 25% above spot. Nothing meaningful sits in between.
- The bigger target: $0.7033. The 2025 range high, and the level that would confirm a genuine trend change.
That gap is the whole setup. The daily chart shows no real supply there. A token moving through thin price history tends to move quickly.
Momentum supports the case. The 20-day exponential moving average sits near $0.3714 and the 50-day near $0.3157, both well beneath spot.
One detail argues for caution. Volume has fallen 53.79% to $54.71 million over 24 hours while STX price rose. Rallies that advance on shrinking participation tend to stall, and the first test will be whether $0.4011 holds when it comes.
The supply picture is cleaner than most. Circulating and total supply are both 1.81 billion STX, so market cap and fully diluted valuation are effectively identical at around $794 million. There is no unlock schedule waiting to dilute holders.

Bitcoin Hyper Targets Early Mover Upside as STX Crypto Tests Resistance
Stacks has a clear catalyst, but clearing resistance is not guaranteed. Even on a breakout, late buyers may find much of the near term optimism already sitting in the price.
That tension between real network interest and limited certainty is why some traders also watch earlier stage infrastructure projects.
Bitcoin Hyper (HYPER) is a Bitcoin Layer 2 project that says it combines Bitcoin with the Solana Virtual Machine (SVM), software infrastructure for running smart contracts. Bitcoin Hyper’s pitch is faster, lower-cost transactions and programmable applications while retaining a connection to Bitcoin’s security.
The presale price is $0.0136875, and the project has raised over $33.1M. Staking is live with a high APY of 35%. The project presents its network as the first Bitcoin Layer 2 with SVM integration, aiming to deliver faster performance than Solana. It asserts low-latency processing alongside a decentralised canonical bridge for Bitcoin transfers.
Layer 2 designs still carry execution, bridge, and adoption risks; early-stage status does not guarantee demand or returns. This overview of Bitcoin’s macro setup and the project’s presale adds context.
The Bitcoin Hyper presale is scheduled to end in 43 days, ahead of the token launch; the countdown below shows the time remaining.
