Solana (SOL USD) is trading at $104.8, down -1.6% over the past 24 hours, as the network heads into a consequential technical upgrade. The pullback lands right in the middle of a battle traders have been watching for days: can the $100 floor hold, or does this cluster of resistance overhead keep capping every bounce? There’s a wrinkle in the setup most retail traders haven’t priced in yet.
The headline catalyst is Transaction V1, which activates on mainnet on September 9. The upgrade lifts Solana’s maximum transaction size from 1,232 bytes to 4,096 bytes, a 3.3x jump that lets developers pack zero-knowledge proofs, BLS signatures, and lengthy multisig operations into a single transaction.
V1 Transactions are coming to @solana and they are really cool! They will go live in a couple of weeks.
Max transaction size goes from 1,232 → 4,096 bytes. Compute budgeting moves out of instructions and into the transaction itself.

Testnet activation began September 1, and infrastructure providers like QuickNode are already pushing SDK updates so RPC clients and indexers don’t choke on the new format. Legacy and version 0 transactions remain valid, so this is additive rather than disruptive.
SOL bounced roughly +45% off a July low near $60.66, then pulled back from the low-$110s to test the $100–$106 zone where it now sits. Recent price analysis shows this consolidation phase is the market digesting a strong run, not necessarily reversing it.

$SOL really made everyone hate it for months just to do this
Distribution → accumulation → expansion
The $70–$95 range was basically the loading zone
Hope you accumulated some $SOL in that zone
Now we’re above $140 (expansion phase)

At $104.50, Solana sits just above the psychologically loaded $100 support band, with $103 acting as a secondary cushion. Volume has thinned during the consolidation, typical of a market waiting for a catalyst, and Transaction V1’s September 9 launch could be exactly that trigger.
Resistance stacks up in layers: first $107–$110, then $112.86–$115, with the bigger hurdles at $123 and $132 standing between here and analyst Ali Martinez’s $150 target.
Bull case: a clean break above $110 with volume confirmation opens a run toward $123, then $132, keeping the $150 thesis alive.
Base case: continued chop between $100 and $110 while the market waits for the upgrade to bed in.
Bear case: a decisive close below $100 risks a slide toward $95, or as low as $85.79 in worst-case scenarios. Watching the $100 line over the next 48 hours tells most of the story.

LiquidChain Targets Early Mover Upside as Solana Tests Key Levels
Holding SOL through this range has been a game of patience, and patience at $104 doesn’t deliver the kind of multiple that gets talked about at parties.
Solana’s market cap already runs into the tens of billions; a move from $104 to $150 is a solid 44% gain, but it’s not the asymmetric setup early-stage capital tends to chase.
That’s pushed some traders toward presale-stage infrastructure plays instead, particularly ones built to plug directly into Solana’s liquidity rather than compete with it.
LiquidChain ($LIQUID) is one such project, positioned as a Layer 3 infrastructure layer that fuses Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana liquidity into a single execution environment. The pitch: developers deploy once and access all three ecosystems, instead of building separate integrations for each chain.
The current presale price is $0.014953, with $961,525.51 raised so far. Core features include a Unified Liquidity Layer, Single-Step Execution, Verifiable Settlement, and a Deploy-Once Architecture.
