Some investors say Pepecoin’s resurgence could be linked to Elon Musk’s latest shenanigans on X. The Tesla/SpaceX/X owner has changed his profile picture to Kekius Maximus, a Pepe-themed frog wearing Roman armor.
Since Musk changed his profile pic, a multi-chain meme coin named KEKIUS quickly sprouted to life. It launched back in mid-December but with Elon’s recent profile change, it has mooned over 1100% in the past 24-hours.
Despite such huge gains, KEKIUS’s market cap is still under $160 million. At their current prices, Kekius Maximus is over 50x from hitting the heights of Pepecoin.
