Vote transactions currently eat 75% of Solana’s blockspace, and a governance vote just cleared the way to remove them. Meta AI predicts Solana that unlock reshapes the network, and the price prediction targets $220 to $300 by the end of 2026 from $75, with $250 as the base case.
Alpenglow passed governance with over 98% approval. It cuts finality from 12.8 seconds to 150 milliseconds while stripping out those vote transactions entirely.
The result is real throughput freed up for high-frequency trading. Meta AI stresses these are live infrastructure catalysts rather than promises.
Firedancer is now producing blocks on mainnet. It runs on more than 20% of validators after 50k blocks, diversifying client risk and lifting TPS toward 1 million in tests.

Institutional demand arrived through spot ETFs in late October. Bitwise drew $69.5M on debut and $199M within four days, with cumulative inflows now topping $1B.
Treasury firms have joined in. Forward bought 6.8M SOL while Helius targets 5% of supply, creating structural demand that does not rotate out quickly.
The bear risk carries a date. If Alpenglow slips past August 2026, the timeline breaks.
Reversing ETF flows would compound that. Either scenario sends SOL back to retest $55 to $65.
AI Predicts Solana Price Prediction: Reclaiming Three Quarters Of The Blockspace, What is The Odds for Meta AI Predicts to Hit?
The chart has spent nearly a year unwinding. SOL peaked near $252 last September before the structure gave way.
November broke it, taking price from $200 toward $122. February brought the capitulation leg down near $67.
Spring settled into a range between $80 and $98. June broke that too and marked the low around $61.

July produced a bounce to $83 that faded. Price has since chopped sideways in the mid $70s.
The close reads $75.54, down 0.88% and $0.67 on the session. The daily range covered $75.42 to $76.26.
Support sits at $73, then $67 and $61 at the June bottom. Resistance appears at $80, then $90 and $98.
RSI reads 51.78 against a signal line at 49.27. That gap of 2.5 points gives buyers a slight edge without much force behind it.
Both lines sit just above the midline. Momentum is neutral and waiting for a catalyst.
Meta AI’s deadline arrives this month. Alpenglow landing on schedule is what would push this range toward the upper case rather than the retest.
When the Catalyst Has a Deadline, Kalshi Lets You Trade the Event Itself
Solana traders are effectively betting on execution now. Alpenglow has already cleared governance, but whether the upgrade lands on schedule could decide if SOL breaks out of this range or slides back toward support.
Kalshi offers another way to trade that kind of uncertainty.
Instead of taking exposure through a token and hoping the market reacts as expected, users can trade directly on real-world outcomes across crypto, politics, economic data, Fed decisions, and other market-moving events. That separates the event thesis from all the extra volatility attached to the underlying asset.
For traders already thinking in probabilities, deadlines, and binary catalysts, the setup is straightforward: decide what you think happens, then take a position on that outcome.
Eligible new users who join Kalshi through CryptoNews can also receive $25 when signing up through our referral link.
