Yesterday (February 10), leading crypto investment firm Grayscale filed for a Cardano (ADA) exchange-traded fund (ADA ETF) on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) – in a game-changing move for Cardano price.
Grayscale, one of the driving forces behind last year’s historic Bitcoin ETFs, has previously flirted with a standalone ADA product but has yet to make an official filing.

ADA ETF – Bullish For The Future Of Cardano?
Trump’s 2.0 SEC’s pivot from heavy-handed policing of the crypto industry to embracing and promising fair regulation has made issuers more confident regarding ETF filings.
Since the beginning of 2025, Grayscale has also filed for a Solana and XRP ETF, which, if approved, would mark the third and fourth offerings after BTC and ETH.
Those XRP and SOL products would work by converting Grayscale’s preexisting crypto trust products into more widely accessible ETFs, whereas the ADA ETF would be an entirely new offering.
The Cardano community has been calling for ADA to be the next ETF offering, and it seems their wishes may be coming true. According to CoinGecko, ADA is currently the 9th largest digital asset by market cap, with a market cap of around $28.5 billion at current prices.
Many analysts believe the approval of an ADA ETF could rocket the project into the top 5 cryptocurrencies by market cap, which would mean an increase of around 300%.
