Bhutan just sent 320 Ethereum (about $970k) to Figment, which is basically a company that helps institutional players stake their crypto securely.
This is part of Bhutan’s bigger push into blockchain stuff. They recently moved their whole national digital identity system over to Ethereum, giving citizens more control over their own data through the decentralized platform. They’ve still got another $1 million in ETH sitting around that they could potentially stake, too.

Figment is handling the staking for them as Bhutan keeps diving deeper into crypto. It’s a pretty strong vote of confidence in Ethereum’s future, plus it helps keep the network running through its proof-of-stake system.
ETH’s been doing pretty well lately – up 3.08% in the last day, actually beating out Bitcoin’s 4.7% gain. The whole crypto market’s been bouncing back.
There’s also some exciting stuff coming up – Ethereum’s got the Fusaka upgrade dropping December 3rd.
It’s supposed to seriously boost scalability by doubling data capacity with PeerDAS and increasing gas limits. Some analysts are comparing it to the Pectra upgrade from May, which caused ETH to jump 20% after launch.
