Ethereum price analysis shows ETH USD trading at $2,550, up +2.1% over 24 hours, as buyers tried to steady the ship after October’s sharp, market-wide sell-off. The rebound is modest; the next test is whether the Ethereum price can reclaim resistance near $2,630 or whether support gives way again.
On October 12, two Ethereum Foundation-linked wallets transferred 4,393 ETH, worth about $11.13M at the time, to Kraken. On-chain analyst EmberCN reported that the wallets were historically tied to an allocation of 59,751 ETH, and that they had previously sent 49,751 ETH to Kraken over roughly a decade.

EmberCN’s post provides a useful embed point for readers tracking the wallet history, but the transaction alone does not establish who controlled the wallets or what happened to the funds afterward.
With the wider market still digesting liquidations, ETH’s support and resistance levels matter more than speculation about one deposit, and ETH holding above $2,500 is the key level to watch.
Ethereum Price Analysis: Can ETH USD Reclaim $2,630 This Week?
ETH’s 24-hour gain offers some relief, but its seven-day performance remained negative at 5.79% as of October 12, according to STnews price data.
Recent market coverage put resistance around $2,566, then $2,630, and $2,666. Support sits near $2,406–$2,400, with another zone around $2,356–$2,350.
Momentum is not decisive. TradingKey reported a relative strength index (RSI, a measure of recent price momentum) near 47 and a negative moving average convergence divergence (MACD, a trend-momentum indicator).
That leaves room for a bounce, but not a confirmed reversal. TradingKey also described neutral conditions and identified $2,400–$2,350 as support after ETH briefly fell below $2,500.
Bull case: A sustained move above $2,630 could bring $2,666 into view, with $2,800 a higher recovery target.
Base case: ETH continues consolidating between nearby support and resistance.
Bear case: A break below $2,400 would weaken the setup and expose the $2,300 area. The October 10 sell-off reportedly liquidated about $19Bn across crypto markets, according to CoinGlass.

If ETH cannot hold support, traders may look beyond large-cap tokens—but a rotation is not a shortcut around risk. Ethereum’s established market depth contrasts with early-stage projects, where liquidity and execution risks can be sharper. The distinction matters.
Maxi Doge (MAXI) is an Ethereum-based ERC-20 meme token built around trading-community culture and a 240-pound canine character representing a 1000x-leverage mentality.
Its stated presale price is $0.0002843, and it has raised over $4.8M. Staking is live at 64% APY, with holder-only trading competitions, leaderboard rewards, and a treasury for liquidity and partnerships.
The pitch is meme-first—“Never skip leg-day, never skip a pump”—rather than a claim of established utility or guaranteed returns. Readers weighing the project against Ethereum’s more developed market can research Maxi Doge before making any decision.
