ETHDAY And Its Zurich ETH Connection
The launch comes just before ETH Day 2025 at ETH Zurich, which will be held tomorrow, on 22 November 2025. During the event, the university will honor members of its community for their achievements over the past year.
Moreover, the student association, VSETH, will give a shout-out for lecturers going the extra mile for their classes. On top of that, two students from the Department of Information Technology and Electrical Engineering will take the stage to talk about the projects they’ve been working on.

The event will take place in the main ETH building. The doors open at 9 AM, with the academic ceremonies beginning at 10 AM.
As for the ceremony itself, it will commence with a warm welcome from Rector Professor Günther Dissertori, followed by some live music. Then Professor Joël Mesot, the President of ETH Zurich, takes the stage with his welcome address, and Federal Councillor Beat Jans gives a speech.

The rest of the program is all about recognition, including honoring community members who have passed away, handing out industry and foundation prizes, celebrating great teaching with awards from the student association, and granting honorary doctorates and councilor titles.
