The Binance-backed BNB Smart Chain is undergoing a resurgence right now, led by BOB Crypto (Build On Bob), a memecoin that has surged more than 160% over the past 24 hours. Rumours are circulating that the pump is due to it possibly being the next Binance listing.
BOB crypto launched in November 2024, and the BNB Smart Chain community quickly bought into it, making it the breakout meme coin on the network. However, not long after, Binance co-founder CZ revealed his dog’s name to be Broccoli, which quickly spawned its own meme coin that overshadowed BOB.

While BOB crypto was initially jeeted for the multiple BROCCOLI tickers that spawned once CZ revealed his dog’s name, Build On BNB has had the last laugh.
The two prominent BROCCOLI tokens have a combined market cap of just $37 million, while the recent surge from BOB crypto has taken it to around $52 million, surpassing both of the CZ dog memecoins.
BOB was CTO’d (community takeover) in its early days after the initial developer sold his bags, and has since been propped up as a leading memecoin by the BNB Smart Chain (BSC) community.
DefiLlama has BSC listed as the number three blockchain, behind Solana in second and Ethereum in third. It has long been known as a cult-like community filled with Binance and BNB crypto maxis, with many of the early whales from Binance and BNB trading solely on BSC.

As a result, the daily trading volume on BSC is staggering, at $13 billion. To put this into perspective, Solana is second with $2.1 billion, while Ethereum is third with $1.34 billion.
With its links to Binance via the BSC network, many are speculating that BOB crypto’s huge surge in price is due to its being the next Binance listing.
Another token price of note linked to Binance, BOB crypto, and the BSC Network is BNB. The native token for the BSC network and Binance has surged 3% over the past 24 hours as positive sentiment and volume return to the blockchain. It is trading for $664 at the time of writing.
