BTC USD is trading at the $77,000 level after surging violently in the past 2 days, after noting a 24% weekly gain. What’s driving this? Part macro, part rotation, and there’s a presale angle further down worth knowing about before the crowd catches on.
The move follows Bitcoin’s break above the psychologically loaded $70,000 level for the first time since June, with one desk noting BTC was last up 5% near $71,500 before extending gains further into the week.
The rally also coincides with renewed dollar debasement concerns after the US Treasury doubled long bond buybacks, an attempt to cap rising long-end yields, alongside growing optimism that the Clarity Act. Why? People believe that the Clarity Act will eventually clear Congress and create a friendlier US regulatory backdrop for crypto.

The yield hit 5.337% yesterday, a 19 year high, before dropping to 5.189%.

That’s not a coincidence so much as a pattern. Speculative capital has rotated between Bitcoin, precious metals, and stocks for years, chasing whichever trade runs hottest, and right now, the baton looks like it’s back in Bitcoin’s hands.

Can BTC USD Blast Pass $80K This Week?
At around $76,500, BTC USD is comfortably above the $71,700 to $72,000 resistance zone that had separated a recovery bounce from a potential trend reversal. CoinGecko data shows BTC up roughly 9.5% over the past 24 hours and 24% over the last seven days.
The breakout has come with serious momentum. Bitcoin has pushed through $75,000 and is now closing in on the $77,000 area, leaving the old resistance zone looking increasingly distant.
For the bull case, holding above $75,000 keeps the door open toward the $76,000 to $82,000 supply zone. Bitcoin is already trading inside the lower end of that range, so another leg higher could put the next resistance levels into play.
The base case is consolidation after such a violent move. Bitcoin could spend some time digesting the rally around $75,000 to $77,000. However, losing $70,200 would put the breakout under pressure and weaken the reversal setup.
The move is impressive, but chasing green candles after a 24% weekly rally comes with its own risks. For now, BTC has taken the baton and is running with it. The question is whether it can keep the pace toward $80,000.

Bitcoin holders riding this move are sitting on solid gains, but at a $1.5 trillion-plus market cap, doubling from here takes serious capital inflow. That’s the quiet frustration behind every Bitcoin rally: the upside is real, but proportionally small once you’re this large.
Early-stage infrastructure plays built on top of Bitcoin’s own rails are where asymmetric upside still lives, and Bitcoin Hyper ($HYPER) is positioning itself squarely there.

Bitcoin Hyper bills itself as the first Bitcoin Layer 2 (a scaling network built atop Bitcoin’s base chain) with SVM (Solana Virtual Machine) integration, aiming for execution speeds faster than Solana itself. The presale has raised $33 million at a current token price of $0.013685, with staking rewards on offer at an 35% high APY.
Its Decentralized Canonical Bridge targets Bitcoin’s long-standing weak points, like sluggish transactions, high fees, and no native smart contract layer, while preserving Bitcoin’s underlying security. As with any presale, funds are unreleased and speculative until mainnet delivers; researching the Bitcoin Hyper presale before committing capital is non-negotiable.
