The BTC USD price is facing a wall of skepticism. On prediction platform Polymarket, 61% of traders are betting that BTC will dip under $100,000 before year-end, down from 72% earlier this week after a six-week low rattled sentiment. Bobo sisters, are we eating good tonight?
The world’s largest cryptocurrency trades around $113,000 at the time of writing, holding above the psychological threshold but showing signs of strain.
“If large holders unwind positions more aggressively, the key question becomes whether demand can keep pace,” said Min Jung, analyst at Presto Research.

Are Institutional Treasuries Enough to Absorb BTC USD Whale Selling?
So far, digital asset treasuries (DATs) have helped balance whale activity. Japanese firm Metaplanet announced plans to deploy ¥124 billion ($837M) into BTC purchases this fall, while another corporate treasury lifted its holdings to 632,000 BTC this week. Still, not every treasury play is thriving.

According to Capriole Investments, 1 in 3 publicly listed DAT firms now trade below net asset value, meaning investors value them less than the Bitcoin they hold.
Coinbase has warned that this discount could fuel forced selling if debt pressures mount, creating a feedback loop of supply hitting the market.

Bitcoin Futures Market Flashing These Warning Signs
Data from CoinGlass shows notional open interest in Bitcoin perpetuals surged to 310,000 BTC ($34B), which is the highest in two years. Funding rates spiked from 3% to nearly 11%, suggesting traders are piling into leveraged longs.
K33 Research’s Vetle Lunde compared the setup to summer 2023 and 2024, both of which ended with sharp liquidation cascades. If history repeats, leveraged bets could become the trigger for another leg down.
High APY Alternative to Hold BTC Right Now? Bitcoin Hyper Presale Surges as Layer-2 Adoption Grows
Although Bitcoin is expected to crash, Bitcoin Hyper is pitching itself as a high-speed Layer-2 for Bitcoin with equally high APY to withstand bear markets. Users can lock BTC, mint a wrapped version on Hyper, and transact through a Solana-powered engine before settlements return to the main chain.
The HYPER token presale has already raised $12M, with over 584 million tokens staked at yields near 90% APY. At just $0.012805 per token, 99Bitcoins analysts believe that Bitcoin Hyper could outgrow Stacks or Lightning, cementing itself as Bitcoin’s most ambitious scaling play.

The $12M already banked provides the resources to finalize the product, and a Q3 mainnet debut could align with a pivotal stretch for Bitcoin in Q4. The HYPER crowd is live on Telegram and X for updates and chaos.
