Base crypto, the layer-2 network created by Coinbase, is experiencing its own separate bull run right now, with Base meme coins and narratives popping off – lead by BRETT Price recovery.
Currently, Base’s leading meme coin, BRETT, is up 44% in the past week. Content-creation protocol ZORA just launched its token, and decentralized exchange volume on Base is nearing $1 billion, per DefiLlama.

Things Are Looking Good For Base Crypto Right Now: Boosted By The Launch Of ZORA
There has been a recent resurgence of Base meme coins and Base crypto. Network activity is up, with DefiLlama placing it as the 6th largest blockchain, behind Bitcoin, Tron, BSC, Solana, and Ethereum.
It has processed over $955 million daily DEX volume, highlighting the increased activity across the Coinbase adjacent blockchain.
The last few weeks on Base crypto have been dominated by Zora, a new content-creation platform where users are rewarded for publishing and sharing their digital media, including art, music, and video.
Users of the platform had been stacking Zora points, which were converted yesterday into the official ZORA token, launched on the Base chain.
While ZORA is currently down 30% from its launch, this is fairly standard practice for a new token that held an airdrop as those content creators begin offloading ZORA and taking profits.
