The morning trading session in Europe has brought a market-wide dump across crypto, with Bitcoin price falling below $112,000 once more and Ethereum dropping under $4,000, but has since recovered. Analysts call it the final correction before the bull run fully kicks into gear in Q4, leaving many to wonder whether ASTER, HYPER, or LINEA will be the new Coinbase listings for October.
ETH traders were hit hardest with this latest flush, with just under $100M in long positions being liquidated as it briefly fell below $4,000. BTC tumbling under $112,000 triggered $25M in liquidations, bringing the total long liquidations to over $230M across all cryptocurrencies in the past four hours, according to CoinGlass data.
Q4 is just around the corner, which is slated to bring a slew of spot altcoin ETFs, with LTC, SOL, and XRP among the first to be rumored for approval. Prediction markets platform Polymarket also has an 83% chance of another 25bps interest rate cut from the Fed in October’s FOMC meetings, which would further fuel the rally for risk-on assets, and crypto stands to be the biggest beneficiary.

Is ASTER Crypto Nailed On to be One of the New Coinbase Listings for October?
Even after dropping -7.5% in the past 24 hours, ASTER crypto continues to dominate mindshare across social media, fueled by the continuous public support from Binance founder, CZ. Infamous pseudonymous Hyperliquid trader James Wynn also announced overnight that he is moving to Aster for all future perp trading, highlighting that whales are migrating to Aster.
Since yesterday, Aster also passed the $2Bn TVL (total-value locked) milestone, a considerable feat for a platform that has been live for just eight days, per DefiLlama data.
“Given recent events”
Referring to me being hunted by the market making cabal that ferociously hunted my positions.
@cz_binance got straight to work with $ASTER. I knew it was coming, and now it is here. Thanks to CZ we can now trade safely from the market makers.

In comparison, Hyperliquid’s TVL has declined, falling to $2.1Bn overnight, down from $2.8Bn just six days prior. The TVL flipping between ASTER and HYPE looks to be a formality and could even be finalized by the end of the day.
ASTER is also processing an insane amount of trading volume, with over $2.5Bn in spot volume and more than $10Bn in perp volume in just the past 24 hours alone.
There is no way Coinbase will pass up this level of volume. Although there has been no official confirmation yet, it appears to be a foregone conclusion that the Binance competitor will list ASTER sometime in October.

LINEA’s Close Ties to Coinbase Fueling Rumors of an Upcoming Listing
LINEA has struggled since its launch as the much-anticipated Ethereum Layer-2 fell another -14% overnight and is currently trading for around $0.026. Linea was built by Consensys, the firm behind MetaMask, and headed up by Ethereum co-founder Joseph Lubin.
The Linea team has close ties with Coinbase, which has led to strong rumors that LINEA will be on the list of new Coinbase listings at some point in Q4. This would boost its investors, as Linea needs all the help it can get to break out of its current downtrend.
Another rumor is that LINEA holders will be eligible for the upcoming MetaMask token airdrop. Consensys CEO Joe Lubin confirmed that a MASK token is on the way and hinted that LINEA holders could be airdropped the token.
In an X post from earlier in September, Lubin said, “If we notice, at some date in the future, that you’ve held n LINEA tokens for m days, that just might lead to another token landing in your account,” adding that MetaMask and Linea are preparing something together.
LINEA just hit a healthy support zone, indicating a reversal on the cards. Catalysts such as a MASK airdrop and improving market conditions could see an upside move toward $0.045. Being announced as one of the new Coinbase listings heading into Q4 would be the icing on the cake for Linea.
Is Bitcoin Hyper (HYPER) an Outside Bet to be Listed on Coinbase?
Bitcoin Hyper (HYPER) continues to dominate the crypto presale space, having secured $18M overnight and already surged toward $20M. The hype and demand surrounding this Bitcoin Layer-2 project are undoubtedly attracting attention from the largest exchanges, including Coinbase.
HYPER effectively leverages the Solana Virtual Machine (SVM) for its Layer-2 protocol. By integrating its L2 infrastructure with Bitcoin, HYPER can benefit from Solana’s low fees and high speeds.
Bitcoin Hyper is developing its Layer-2 infrastructure using innovative roll-up technology. The team recently announced its plan to fully integrate the SVM as the execution layer for HYPER, alongside the use of rollups. This integration will enable fast transactions, low fees, and real-time execution, all while maintaining the reliability of Bitcoin’s core base layer.
