LTC Price Analysis: Is Litecoin Price Heading For Major Downtrend Breakout As LTC Crypto Surges
Besides showing strength in price while Bitcoin is dropping, Litecoin also surpassed SUI, TON, and AVAX, which were large gainers in 2024. In the graph above, we can also see that the 24-hour volume on LTC is larger than the next four coins.
At this point, the question “Will Litecoin go for a strong run?” seems to be shifting to “When will Litecoin breakout and shoot for the moon?”

Well, firstly, LTC has been performing very strongly against BTC over the past months. At this point, it looks like a rounded bottom is shaping up.

As always, it is good to start with higher timeframes, and today, we begin by looking at the Monthly chart. Yes, I know – the monthly! Why? Because it provides valuable context. In this case, LTC Crypto has formed a 5-year-long uptrend!
If people’s 4-digit hopes are to be reached, the first target is the range high on this chart – $370.

On the Weekly chart, we see that the Litecoin price was pushed back below the resistance level twice—in 2023 Jul and in Spring 2024—but has broken above over the past few weeks.
Since then, it has been ranging, while many other alts have been nuked significantly. There was a huge sell-off, which got absorbed quickly and ended up forming a longer wick than the previous one, hence the SFP. This is another sign of interest and demand for the coin.

Lastly, we follow daily developments. While alts nuked LTC, Price held strong and came again above mid-range. This, to me, looks like consolidation before breaking out towards our monthly range high. The past two days, we witnessed a little shakeout, which got some people scared.
My squiggles are what I’m expecting currently. But there’s always the chance to get rejected from the top again. We want a clean breakout, retest, and continuation before we start celebrating.
