Lara Trump and Tiffany Trump were hacked on X, with the bad actors then posting scam links for the supposed launch of the upcoming Trump family crypto project, ‘World Liberty Financial’.

The Trump family are currently in the process of launching a DeFi platform, called World Liberty Financial. They haven’t released any in-depth information regarding what the DeFi platform would entail.

Timeline Of The World Liberty Financial Heist

Early this morning (2 a.m. BST), hackers took advantage of keen investors eagerly awaiting more information. They hacked the X account of Lara Trump, Eric Trump’s wife. The same hackers also accessed Donald Trump’s daughter, Tiffany’s X account.

The scammers pulled off an elaborate scam by pretending to release information on the World Liberty Financial project while directing people to buy the token.

The first post came from Lara Trump’s hacked account and included a link to the supposed official website for World Liberty Financial, where investors could buy the $WL token.

This second post came from Tiffany Trump’s hacked account. It was meant to add legitimacy to Lara’s post as an endorsement from a second member of the Trump family.

The website that was linked had a token address listed, with a direct link to buy $WL with SOL. It had a professional look, which added further credibility to the scam.

After the announcement post, the two hacked accounts proceeded to shill the WL token hard on X while even warning investors to watch out for scams pretending to be World Liberty Financial.

In one tweet from Lara’s account, the scammer cleverly links the legitimate Telegram channel for World Liberty Financial with the website, which helped to dupe investors into believing this was the legitimate token for Trump’s upcoming DeFi platform.

X has since removed all the Tweets associated with the scam.
