Trump attacked Biden, Harris, Gensler & China while claiming Bitcoin is going to the moon in his memorable appearance at Bitcoin 2024.
Republican presidential candidate and assassination survivor Donald Trump spoke at the Bitcoin conference over the weekend in Nashville, Tennessee. He said he wants to make the U.S. ‘the crypto capital of the planet’ and Bitcoin’ the superpower of the world.’
Trump Well And Truly Positioning Himself As An Ally Of Crypto
During his wacky appearance at the Bitcoin conference, Trump touched on many topics surrounding America’s current relationship with crypto and what he wants if elected in November.
He told the crowd, “If crypto is going to define the future, I want it mined, minted and made in the US”. He went on to say, “It is not going to be made anywhere else.”

In a classic attempt to win the crowd’s hearts, Trump used a crypto degens’ favorite phrase: “Bitcoin is going to the moon, and I want America to be the nation that leads the way.”
He also spoke about recent reports that his campaign raised over $4 million in crypto donations thus far. Trump said how proud he is to be the first major party nominee in American history to accept donations in Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.
The former president believes that the U.S. is at risk of losing the digital asset technology race to China.
“If we don’t do it, China and others will do it. So, let’s do it first and let’s do it right, we cannot let China dominate. I want the US to be first in technology, science, manufacturing, artificial intelligence (AI) and space.” he said.

The Republican Nominee Had Some Harsh Words For Biden And Harris While Also Promising To Oust Gary Gensler
Trump attacked President Biden and the current administration for its lack of clarity regarding crypto regulations.
“In three and a half years, the current administration has waged a war on crypto and Bitcoin like nobody has seen before,” he said.
“They target your banks, they choke on your financial services, they block Americans from transferring their money to exchanges, they slander you as criminals.”
Finally catching the highlights from Trump’s speech at Bitcoin 2024.
Seeing the crowd reaction in this video, it was probably a good choice for Kamala to skip the conference. She may have actually gotten booed.

He also had some choice words for Vice President Kamala Harris. She looks increasingly likely to become his rival in the upcoming election following Biden’s withdrawal.
“Kamala (Harris) is worse than Joe. She is a radical left lunatic,” said Trump. “She is against crypto.”
The highlight of Trump’s speech came when he announced, “On day one, I will fire Gary Gensler and appoint a new SEC chairman.”
That single sentence was met with nearly 30 seconds of whooping and cheering from the crowd. That promise alone likely secured thousands of votes for Trump, with Gensler being seen as the number-one crypto bad guy.
