Tuxedos, cocktails, and an air of optimism filled the Andrew W. Mellon Auditorium on Friday night for the highly anticipated Crypto Ball in honor of the incoming Trump administration.

And, yes, that cover image is Trump cookies served to all the attendees.

I wonder if they were pot cookies? Snoop Dogg was there, after all.

From Bitcoin-inspired desserts to high-profile performances, the evening was an undeniable signal of the industry’s growing influence in Washington, D.C.

An All-Star Guest List at Trump Crypto Ball 2025

The guest list was as high-profile as it gets for the crypto industry. Attendees included big names like MicroStrategy’s Michael Saylor, Coinbase’s Brian Armstrong, the Winklevoss brothers, Kraken’s Jesse Powell, and Trump’s pick for crypto czar, David Sacks.

The crowd wasn’t just limited to industry figures; key political players like Speaker of the House Mike Johnson and Mayor Francis Suarez of Miami also joined the celebration.

“There are tons of people who are responsible everything you see going on in DC with bitcoin at the state level,” my friend Samuel Armes tweeted at the event. ” But they don’t often get recognized because they are in the trenches. Day in and day out.”

The Crypto Ball wasn’t just a party but a celebration of what the industry views as a turning point. Red “Make Bitcoin Great Again” hats circulated as attendees shared their hopes that the Trump administration would establish digital assets as a fully integrated component of the U.S. financial system.

The event symbolized a belief that change is coming for an industry long harried by regulatory uncertainty. Many at the Crypto Ball anticipate that this new administration, backed by a more cooperative Congress, will address longstanding concerns and set the foundation for growth.

Hopes for Regulatory Clarity Emerge From Trump Crypto Ball Discussions

Trump’s first days are under heavy scrutiny, and the Crypto Ball attendees were riding high on the gamble that his rumored executive orders and appointments could finally cut through the red tape of crypto regulation.

A framework that anchors digital assets within the U.S. financial system might finally set the stage for real progress.

More than a party, the Crypto Ball felt like a rallying cry—and, yes, they didn’t let in the riff-raff like you or me. Tickets were $2,500 unless you know somebody.

But maybe we’ll get into the next one! The one for slightly above middle-class crypto holders!

The energy in crypto is undeniable, but the real drama still unfolds in the halls of power and strategy.
