Who can replace Biden? Many in the US Election question Joe Biden’s ability to lead and wonder who could take his place as President.

Following the 2024 Presidential Debate, prediction markets lit up with bets about Biden potentially withdrawing.

The CNN clash with Trump left many doubting Biden’s physical, mental, psychological, spiritual, and financial fitness for office.

The bottom line is Biden’s looking shaky, and everyone—Republicans, Democrats, even gamblers—is wondering, “Who can replace Biden?”

Will the DNC get him to step down? Who Can Replace Biden?

Thursday’s debate witnessed Biden frequently stumbling over words, mispronouncing terms, and delivering unintelligible remarks. This performance sparked concerns among viewers and pundits alike.

At one point, Trump even quipped: “I really don’t know what he said at the end of that sentence. I don’t think he knows what he said either,” Trump remarked.

The aftermath saw major news outlets like CNN and MSNBC openly questioning Biden’s leadership.

Rumors are circulating that the Democrats might entertain getting rid of Biden but that the President won’t let go.

There were no surprises during the debate; Biden performed exactly how everyone expected him to. The WSJ reported in a now-viral story this month that behind closed doors Biden was falling apart.

“I used to meet with him when he was vice president. I’d go to his house,” former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy told reporters. “He’s not the same person.”

It’s allowed others to speculate that, ostensibly, the political establishment wants a Trump victory. The scapegoat will be that Biden blew the campaign by refusing to step down.

The time for replacing Biden would’ve been months ago. All the other candidates poll worse vs Trump. The optics would also be terrible if they skipped over his Vice President Kamala Harris.

They should just stick with him now and hope this debate is a distant memory by November.

The Bottom Line: Crypto Ignored in the Debate

Interstingly, crypto-backed PACs poured $202.8 million into the 2024 race and spent $93.6 million, yet Biden and Trump ignored crypto in their 90-minute debate—a glaring omission considering the financial muscle from the crypto world.

The big story, however, is that pressure is mounting on the Democratic Party to reconsider Biden’s candidacy. Rising prediction market odds signal growing doubts, potentially shaking up the 2024 election landscape.
