Just joined this game last week. . when will I be able to convert my satoshis?
Hey Cleophas,
There’s no monetary conversion between bitcoin and satoshis, as they’re the same form of money, just different denominations thereof.
If you have satoshis, you have (fractional) bitcoin. And if you have bitcoin, you have satoshis. It’s just the same as saying that if you have US Dollars, you have cents and if you have cents, you have (fractional) US Dollars.
Satoshis are just like cents where bitcoins (small b) are just like Dollars – obviously the value of BTC and USD is a lot different, given 1 BTC = ~$8200 right now.
The major difference between satoshis and cents is that where cents have 2 decimal places, e.g. $1.99 where there are 99 cents, satoshis have 8. So you can have 1.00000099 BTC, or stated in words, 1 bitcoin and 99 satoshis.
It’s kinda confusing at first. Read through the above guide a couple times until you get your head around it…

Hi Alice, you just need to divide the number of satoshis you have by 100,000,000 and you get the amount of Bitcoin you have. Or you can use our calculator here if you are looking for the fiat value: https://99bitcoins.com/satoshi-usd-converter/

Hi Alicee, yes, you can send satoshis to the BTC address. Bitcoin and satoshis are the same, the difference is just the scale.
