How a basket is built
Each basket takes every coin CoinGecko classifies into that category, sums their market capitalisation and twenty-four hour volume, and computes a market-cap-weighted price change so one large constituent cannot be drowned out by dozens of tiny ones. Coin counts are the number of ranked members we hold data for, not the total number that claim the label.
