Noob here and I just sent .5 ETH to my new account at GateHub. My gatehub wallet now has 20 XRP, but what happened to the rest of the ETH?
I did the same transaction last night 12/11/17 7:01 PM ET with the same results. coinbase transaction completed in a little over an hour. Gatehub shows 20 XRP this morning
Well, I’ve never used Gatehub and don’t really know what’s going on with Ripple but…
The market price on Github for ETH / XRP was in the high 1000s a day ago:
So it sounds to me like if you sent 0.5 ETH, you should’ve gotten around 900 XRP – certainly much more than 20 XRP. Are you sure that you ETH hasn’t been credited to your account? Check your balances for that 0.5 ETH – if you find, I believe you’ll then be able to exchange it for the correct number of XRP.
If it’s not there, please contact GateHub support and show them your transaction ID (txid) for the ETH payment to their receiving address. Your Ethereum wallet should be able to provide you with the txid if you query that specific outgoing payment.
when depositing eth from coinbase does gatehub convert that to XRP and enable the wallet since over 20 xrp was deposited? I’ve been waiting for hours. I transferred 1 ETH and coinbase says it went with success.
