bitter.io faucet once worked perfectly fine – but suddenly, since months ago, they forced us to use a chrome plugin for keep accessing it – contacting then the maintainer he said that mandatory situation would be fixed but it didn’t at all – very fishy situation – do our worries on bitter.io chrome plugin being a spyware confirms?
Yes you are right they play smart, i have checked their extension on my chrome browser and mentioned that their extension replacing google ad with their ad script mellow ads. i have checked this 2-3 times after disabling bitter.io extension all works fine, means if i surf any site from my browser which runs adsense ad runs normally but after enabling bitter.io extension the same ads replaced with mellow ads.
Hey, I think you are raising a good point here. Although we do not have experience with Bitter.io directly, it is definitely questionable why the Faucet maintainer restricts the users to access the faucet through the plugin. In our 99Bitcoins Faucet, we only ask users to provide an email address for registration.
