Thanks for the 100bits guys, however when I looked at the transaction I saw 2 payment amounts. One for the 100 bits and then another transaction, what is that exactly?
Whenever you see a Bitcoin transaction you will usually see 2 amounts – the first amount are the coins sent to you (for example 0.0001BTC) and the other amount is change sent back to the sender. The reason there is change sent back is because of how the Bitcoin protocol dictates inputs – it’s all explained in this short video.
So the amount you’re referring to is not actually coins sent to you, but rather change sent back to us from our original transaction.
