I don’t use faucets etc much, but over about 10 months I got 0.17 BTC – which is 0.00056666 per day. But until google pulled ads on most faucets there were quite a few paying 1000 per visit. I’d love to get an idea what the average is now. And how much time it takes per 10k for example. That would make an interesting article!
Hello there Andy.
You’re right! In the past, before faucets were banned by Google Adsense and when Bitcoin wasn’t as expensive as it is today users could easily get anywhere between 500-1000 Satoshis per visit.
Heck, the very first faucets were giving out 5 Bitcoins back in 2010 :)
However today payouts have reduced drastically since faucets become much less profitable. I know for a fact that 99Bitcoins’ faucet is one of the more profitable faucets around – why? Because I don’t make any money from it, I’m actually losing a bit.
The maximum daily claim on 99Bitcoins is around 10,000 Satoshis – if you claim 120 times per 24 hours. And you’re right, this might make an interesting article, I’ll put that into the queue.
