Hello! Recently I have been having problems with my faucet where an enourmous ammount of satoshis dissapears in minutes when the traffic is as low as 20 people. The claim time is 10 minutes and normally the ammount is 100 coins but it happens that in 2 minutes 3000 satoshis just drop down. The referral percent is 15% so you can make the maths, around 15 satoshis for referrals, which still doesn’t make sense which brings me to the conclusion someone is using a vpn or bots.
Any possible ways to deal with this?
This is a very common problem with Bitcoin faucets as many scammers use proxies and bots to show up as different users and drain your faucet.
Usually there are some basic security measures that can help to an extent detailed in our Bitcoin faucet guide. If those don’t help then perhaps you’ll need to hire a developer in order to help you identify and ban malicious Bitcoin addresses and IP addresses.
For Milli (99Bitcoins’ faucet) I hired someone who is an expert on this and that created a very detailed tracking system to deter scammers. However this is not a cheap solution and will usually cost quite a bit.
Let me know if you need any more help with this.
