Buterin is now introducing Binius to address a critical issue: the inefficiency of solutions like zk-STARKS and STARKs that rely on ZK proofs.
To resolve this, the co-founder introduces a revolutionary approach that allows computation directly on individual binary bits, bypassing the need to work with larger, less efficient numbers.
By operating directly on bits, Binius accelerates data processing, subsequently enhancing performance.
But, precisely, how will this be possible?
Vitalik is introducing a new model in which data are represented as a “multidimensional “hypercube of bits. This makes data manipulation and processing much more efficient.
Additionally, the concept of “Binary Finite Fields” allows Binius to facilitate efficient arithmetic operations on bits and bit sequences.
The tool’s special encoding and decoding process will further enhance this, speeding up the manipulation and processing of binary data.
