SKI, an 8-month-old meme coin on Base, has been ripping throughout November and continued into December. The Ski Mask Dog looked like it was on life support following an impressive run over the Summer, which saw it top out at $30 million in market cap.
From around November 6, when SKI had a market cap of around $1.8 million, it exploded back to life, going from low five figures in daily volume to mid-six figures. Within 10 days, it had quickly mooned over 40x to around $50 million before cooling off in the second half of November, dipping back to $20 million.

Around November 25, up-only for the Ski Mask Dog continued, and in the 11 days since, it has ripped another 15x, with its market cap currently ranging between $320-350 million. Not only has this 175x move taken place in the space of a month, but it has also happened with no CEX exposure, and all trading is taking place on-chain.

Pineapple Cat (PICA) has a similar history to SKI, which has alerted many that it could be ready to do a Ski Mask Dog-style run over the next few weeks. CJ is a Base meme coin inspired by the iconic main character of GTA 3, Carl Johnson. It launched at the end of March and was a narrative leader during the mini Base size of March-April. It briefly hit $20 million but had one of the biggest drops of any Base meme coin, its market cap dropping as low as $140,000.
In early October, CJ began its resurgence around the same time as many of these other Base meme coins. It briefly went to $1.5 million before tanking back to $400,000 in early November. With the success of SKI, Carl Johnson has followed. It had been ranging between $1.5 – 4 million in the past few weeks before yesterday exploding to $8 million in a few 4-hour candles.
CJ has a large and dedicated community with over 65,000 holders, steadily climbing as many SKI investors rotate their winnings into smaller cap plays. If you search ‘$CJ’ on X, many investors believe the GTA 3 main character will be the next $100 million+ meme coin on Base.
