Pump.Fun Is Out Of Control: Crypto Community Calling For Heavier Moderation Of Its Livestream Feature
Prediction markets platform, Polymarket has Pump.Fun at 97% chance of being banned in the US by the end of the year – will A1lon9 intervene?
Pump.fun, a decentralized platform for creating meme coins on Solana, is receiving backlash after token creators have been broadcasting harmful and violent acts via its live stream feature.
Due to the increasing amount of worrying live streams on Pump.Fun, many in the crypto community are calling for stricter moderation or even outright closure of its livestream feature.

Only A Matter Of Time Before Tragedy Strikes On A Pump.Fun Livestream
The livestream feature on Pump.Fun began with lots of OnlyFans-style content, with females promising certain lewd acts for every monetary goal met. It has since evolved to a more worrying nature.
In the last 24 hours alone, there have been individuals threatening to go on shooting sprees in school or to murder their families. In probably the most despicable act, a young couple could be seen hitting their child, only promising to stop once the token hit $15k market cap.
Unless action is taken, it seems only a matter of time until something fatal happens on one of the many Pump.fun livestreams.

Beau, a safety project manager for NFT project, Pudgy Penguins, has called for action to be taken after a Pump.Fun live streamer threatened to commit suicide if their coin did not reach a certain market cap.
The safety project manager urged the platform to disable the livestream and provide support to the individual. Beau also called the live stream feature on Pump.fun ‘out of control’, saying it should be shut down altogether.
Infamous on-chain sleuth, ZachXBT, replied to Beau, remarking on the brashness of the live streamers. He said, “Even more wild how the people creating these coins barely take any measures to mask their identity.”
“Yeah no kidding. Don’t think it’s just about money, but also for clout IRL with friends etc”, Beau said in response to ZachXBT.
