Notable ‘Crypto Twitter’ legend Cobie sent the internet into a frenzy. The British trader, responding to the AVAX post, said Nick was removed for taping his (painted yellow) penis to a wall to mimic the banana wall art recently purchased at auction by Justin Sun.

Cobie’s response to the AVAX statement on Choose Rich Nick simply said, “For anyone that is out of the loop, he taped his penis (painted yellow) to the wall like that banana art that Justin Sun recently bought.” Less than a minute later, he responded to a user asking if he was kidding, saying, “Yes, I made it up”.
You would think that would be the end of it. However, the internet went crazy with Cobie’s joke, and Nick quickly released a pre-prepared video statement. He said, “There was an incident I was involved with aboard an Avalanche-affiliated yacht party,” and “I apologized for my behavior.” Nick finished the apology by saying, “I will be taking some time to reflect on my behavior.”
Choose Rich Nick then dramatically removed his sunglasses before saying “I would also like to take a moment to directly address Cobie, who has made false and inflammatory statements toward me”. Somehow managing to keep a straight face, he then said, “Implying that I duct taped one of my organs to a cardboard box and spray painted it yellow is not only appropriate but implies a very serious crime in the state of Florida and many other jurisdictions.

Since his original post, Cobie hasn’t responded regarding the situation. On Sunday evening (December 8), Choose Rich Nick released a final statement about the situation. It reads;
“Official update on the Avalanche yacht party incident of December 7, 2024:
Following an investigation into yesterday’s incident and conversations between representative legal teams, Avalanche and associates of Nick O’Neill, also known as “ChooseRich Nick”, have restored professional relations.

No further comment will be made on this incident.”
The official Avalanche X account posted a handshake emoji under Nick O’Neill’s post, signaling that the drama has been put to bed and confirming that no yellow-painted penises were taped to a cardboard box.
