New clues about the creator of Bitcoin arise
Even after Ted Nelson’s theory, which says the unknown creator of Bitcoin is really a Japanese math teacher named Shinichi Mochizuki, and programmer Sergio Lerner “revelations” in a blog post, we still don’t know who Satoshi Nakamoto really is. But, now, new clues are coming up!
An anonymous Bitcoin developer told the website Gigaom that he has corresponded with however is using the pseudonym Satoshi Nakamoto, saying he believes the Bitcoin inventor is one person and not three as some people have suggested. Also, this source claims that Satoshi is not Japanese and that the pseudonym is only a tribute to 1980?s Tokyo cyberpunk scene.
What this source can’t explain is why Satoshi wants to remain anonymous, only saying that the only reason is because the creator of digital currency wants his privacy to be respected. If this is true, “Satoshi” is part of the small group who runs from the spotlight and want to let their work speak for themselves. At least, this attitude is consistent with the ethos of altruist open-source coders.
That being said, we may never know who Satoshi Nakamoto really is. Everybody has theories, but can they lead us anywhere?
