After spats with WIZZ & Crypto Bitlord, Derulo has opened a SOL long to counter Lil Pump’s short position, saying the bull run has just begun
Singer-songwriter Jason Derulo has gone to war with ‘crypto twitter’ this past weekend as he argues that his token, JASON, is not a pump and dump scam.
JASON Down Over -80% From ATH But Derulo Remains Bullish
His token, on Solana, initially mooned over 100x in the first three days of being. However, it has since crashed 80% from its June 27 peak, where it briefly topped $35 million in market cap.
Although JASON wasn’t originally launched by Derulo, he has since led somewhat of a ‘community takeover’ for the token and has come out guns blazing to defend himself against people calling him a scammer.
The singer said that critics are “spewing nonsense,” spreading FUD and preventing “normal people” from onboarding the space.
He posted on X late on Saturday, simply stating, “$JASON to a billy.” The since-deleted post was met with a lot of backlash and even caught the attention of notable crypto influencer WIZZ, who confidently replied, ‘JASON to $0 more likely’ and even challenged people to bookmark the post for future reference.
The Singer’s U-Turn On JASON After Initially Claiming To Have Been Duped
Derulo initially claimed that he was another victim of Sahil Arora. Arora is known for creating many recent celebrity meme coins that have all been pump and dumps.
He has since changed his stance, claiming that he has been inspired to “take this all the way,” claiming to buy $20,000 worth of the coin “for the long haul” and has promised investors that he will build utility around the token.

The singer then got into a spat with crypto influencer/troll, ‘Crypto Bitlord‘. Bitlord messaged Derulo to say that he had “forgotten altcoin dust” that surpassed the singer’s net worth.
Derulo responded to the infamous troll, saying “You’re a literal scrub!”. It didn’t stop there, Bitlord then called Derulo out for promoting an unregistered security and that he got caught dumping on his followers.
As of today, Derulo is now at war with mumble rap artist ‘Lil Pump’. Pump made a post showing that he has a SOL short position open.
The singer promptly replied “Better change that to a long, bull has just begun”. He has since posted his own screenshot showing a SOL long position open alongside the quote, “Lets see who was right”.
