When even the Foundation for Economic Education accepts Bitcoin donations, something has to be headed the right way. “One of the oldest free-market organizations in the United States”, as the institution describes itself, has surrendered to the powers of this new currency.

The foundation announced the news recently. “It’s official: FEE accepts donations in Bitcoin. Donate a few Bitcoins today to help us fulfill our mission to inspire, educate and connect future leaders with the economic, ethical and legal principles of a free society”, it was possible to read on their website.

This way, the Foundation for Economic Education joins the group of institutions and websites that already accept Bitcoins as a form of donation. For instance, in May, the Daily Caller News Foundation told that 2016 Libertarian Party presidential candidate Darryl Perry is going to accept Bitcoins to fund his campaign.

“The Darryl W. Perry for President (2016) campaign will not be accepting donations in currencies recognized by the federal legal tender laws”, the announcement stated. That almost makes Bitcoin legal… almost!
