General bitcoin

Coin Fire has received information from a source at 1-800-Flowers that they will begin to accept Bitcoin soon.

1-800-Flowers.com, Inc. is a floral and gift retailer and distribution company in the United States. It was one of the first retailers to use a 24 x 7 toll-free telephone number and the Internet for direct sales to consumers.

Coin Fire has also learned from another source that 1-800 Flowers will be using Coinbase to accept and process payments for the Internet sales side of the business and Coin Fire has learned that Chris McCann the President and brother of founder James McCann (the one on the commercials) has been personally overseeing the negotiations between 1-800 Flowers and Coinbase.

They would be joining CheapFlowers.com a company that is part of the Teleflora network and operated by Impulse Communications, Inc. in acceptance of Bitcoin on the Internet for flowers and other gifts. Other large floral companies accepting bitcoins include BloomNation and some teleflora agents.

While details at this time are sparse we will keep an eye on the situation and have further reports as they come in.
